They make exceptions where they want to. An Admin also played in the Tuluki elf tribe alongside Shalooonsh’s travesty of a human-banging elf. Plenty of Staff played gypsies. I’ve seen Staff play nobles and Gladiators too.
I’m more bothered by Staff hogging all the high-karma, limited roles. If Staff want to play a Byn Sergeant? Ok. Have fun, bud. But let others play some damn benders and sorcs.

It is extremely dishonest to do a formal declaration to the players of the rules that Staff will abide by and then to gradually, secretly start ignoring them for their own private fun at the players' expense.
The ethically required action, at the absolute minimum, would have been a comparable public announcement of the new self-serving policy change. Dirty, dirty, dirty.

It's the fact that her ingame actions were choreographed via OOC communications. If I were in communication with Bulma or saw her posts on discord channels before they got deleted, you'd be seeing screencaps of the sort of stuff she was saying about how she got the role. Granted, she was excited about her new role. Granted, she is considered a 'newer' player. Granted, she is female and has actually seen some favoritism in the past with avoiding punishments/character storages for her actions. The issue found in this is compounded by the fact she coordinated OOCly with an ex-staffer (which probably still operates in some capacity (i mean, he does, he's a 'helper')). It's a good thing that her character got killed off. Now Deskoft's character needs to die/be forcestored, too. This will no longer be a relevant issue.
HOWEVER. I wanna see some sort of actual proof that any collusion did happen. I don't see proof. I can't find proof. So I'm just shouting into the echo chamber and stirring the shit pot. |

I am not remotely a fan of Bulma's behavior and as far as I can tell she earned her death in-game by being a complete idiot and making enemies right out of the get-go by being Kajora 2.0 in baby socks. She's had enough characters that she's no longer a newb. She knew what she was doing on an out of character level was bad form. Being female? If she's pandering to male staffers, ex-staffers, and players and their ego because she has a vagina? That speaks more about her than it does about anything else.
That said, I don't think Kair necessarily is at fault here. So Bulma bragged about knowing Deksoft? Who has the time to fucking care? Did she brag about Akariel? Shabago? A male-staffer who right now could help her in-game efforts? No. She bragged about someone who isn't on staff, who has a BLUE Templar which isn't all that powerful, and staff were probably so desperate to have an active, play all the time player they picked him after he played the same character for years. Kair literally shakes down every merchant for gifts no differently than Nektol, Malikith, or that creepy fucking predator Salos before them.
Editing to add: Salarr quite literally has been throwing around everything they can to smooth over the immense butthurt feelings after Kajora shit on just about every clan in-game if she wasn't fucking them. So. Bulma sucks, but I don't think her giving armor to templars that Kajora pissed off is unrealistic in-game wise.
