I've talked to qwerty a lot in PM's. I disclosed a bunch of stuff and he disclosed a bunch of stuff. I like the guy. As far as I know, nothing I disclosed has ever been used against me.
The stuff I disclosed on my OWN was used against me. But nothing qwerty did.
We're big boys. We knew the risk. I'm against this ban. Partly because if he really wants to be malicious he can get back in and be someone we don't even know, but also because I detest being "protected" for my own good via censorship.

It's just highly amusing to me that some of the game's most senior staff had this whole covert operation going on with spreadsheets linking player accounts to IPs sniffed with a tracking pixel. It's so pathetic and scummy. When the story broke a couple of years back, I assumed it was just one bored staffer trying it to see if it would work, or a Qwerty-like vigilante taking it upon himself to do it and send the results to staff. Never in my wildest and most jaded imagination would I have suspected that it was Seidhr, Adhira and Nergal with a veritable investigation board, like cops on a case. That's both hilarious and tragic. I was surprised there weren't more raised eyebrows when Nergal revealed the truth the other day. |

I think it was the casual admission. He's like yeah it happened, this is how it happened, this was my involvement. Everyone knew it was linked to staff and it has been ostensibly blocked so I guess there's no impetus to be up in arms about it.

Also, I think you fell for a troll. You're the only regular poster who didn't see through Qwerty's bullshit, so you're the one he clung to. You've been had. Peace out. i'm not sure what to tell you. people aren't going to get banned for speaking nicely of arm or praising staff. that has never happened and will never happened. if people want to throw up a thread that says wow that plot was great or whatever, they can do that just fine. generally people don't, probably because they'd rather post it on the GDB where it'd get more attention. but when someone outright states their goal has and continues to be disrupting, derailing, and ruining threads what am I supposed to do? let them drag everything and every other poster there with them? @qwerty can still post in the asylum if he has actual points to make, and people can engage him there. but he's probably not going to because he's not interested in discussion or argument, he's interested in doing exactly what he said: muddying the waters. |

Really, I don't care either way, but it isn't like, you know, we didn't know he was intentionally being disruptive, or that his modus operandi, was to shit up the place. Not sure why some screenshot, of more of the same, would make any real difference at this juncture. It certainly didn't reveal any shocking twists, turns, or surprises, from where I'm sitting, anyway.
