Hrmmm. I must be misremembering. Definitely thought it was Jcarter. Unless it was Delerak? One of the perpetually banned people who periodically made alts.
Have you played a dwarf in the Byn during a really bitchy breed Sargeant? I guess that's too broad of a description.

I guess that's too broad of a description. 1)i haven't played arm or tried to play arm since 2012. i stopped playing before making this site. prior to that i was never banned from the game. i have never attempted to return to arm nor had any interest. 2)i have never played a dwarf. |

Using Taven as an example here is kind of funny because she's the only example of a player I can think of who said on the GDB that the staff were abusing their power to hamper her play as a reason for quitting, and she actually stuck to her word as far as I know, unless she made a new account. But that's an aside, I suppose.
But if all anyone has to reply to this post is "sometimes staff promote from within and it turns out bad, and sometimes staff do role calls that turn out good" then you don't really understand the point of this post. We're talking about inefficiency in the role call/promotion process and you're basically saying "well it works sometimes". Yes, that's what inefficient means.

Can you link me to that post, Meh? Way I understood is that she quit arm because she tends to get too focused and involved and it repeatedly screwed up hee goals irl. I did not know she ever had problems with staff, except maybe Nyr. Which isn't a surprise. And no, pretty sure she stayed gone. Hope everything is good with her these days.
You are analyzing sponsored roles and alternatives to them. Great. I gave you some of the variables and factors that come in consideration currently. If you want to boil it down to sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, then that's your choice.

It wasn't her main reason, obviously, but it was the last straw. We all already know what staff consider in role calls. You're not bringing up new information or providing any interesting ideas. And given your tendency to lie and troll discussions like these, I'm not entirely convinced that you made a mistake regarding trying to recount jcarter's experience with the game or that you're trying to help. Excellent player. Pretty good writer too. I remember lolling hard when she made a character with an mdesc that mentioned every single magical element in it and she was some totally mundane ranger, or whatever.
Gemmed had dispensation to walk into the city with identify on to check her out.

Qwerty's deranged defensiveness is so great that he has to shit up a mild thread about a possible flaw in game policy by pretending I said that X was the sole reason for Y and not just 'a reason'.
