A couple of people found me and convinced me to keep playing. I gave it another try and I've had some fun characters since then.
There's a handful of people who are pretty cool. Good roleplayers. In it for the story, not the glory.
But there's a big group as well who will just do whatever they want to win.

Staff have been unnaturaly good lately, it's like the fucking twilight zone or some shit. I'm grateful, because they seem to be taking past issues of unfairness seriously.

I think that's an issue, the groups who will do ANYTHING to win. We know they exist, we know they make friends with admins, and we know if we kill them to expect an animation to facilitate a "real world response" no matter how out of line it is... granted, this happened to us when we killed on of Nergal's butt-buddies, and Nergal is actually a good dude despite not being fit for a position of power, but he seriously shat all over us the second we murdered one of his chosen ones. He killed all of us with a super-statted mul he grabbed from Red Storm and just, dumped on our heads, it one-shot a Byn veteran, with a leg-hit. Then it proceeded to chase and murder anyone it could see. Why? Because we as a group murdered a guild leader because the guild refused to play ball with us. You literally cannot bargain with the guild unless they fear you, and like, threats didn't do jack, so we had to make good on them.

Yeaaaah. That was a facepalming moment. Holy shit. For the record. It wasn't that nergal was a friend of the pc who died. Saying that is bending the truth. Why do you do that? That's staffs job  . What it was is a hope to bring guild up. Elf nation was strong. Guild was non existent really. So they talked a player who staff thought was good to rebuild the guild. Only to have him offed pretty quick. Did the guildie deserve it? Yeah! He seriously did not act in the way he should've in that situation. Nergal reaction to it was third anger, third Righteous belief that elves are killing any human opposition in their noob stage, third not ignorance of the virtual relationship between the guild and the fillet crew. It was a disaster. It was shameful. But please don't think he did it because elves killed his friend, or a pet, or whatever. |

As much as I hate to join this conversation.. I contend to this day that guild is the worst clan in the game. Wipe it out with elves and make rinth an all-elf "elven" quarter of the city. That way city elves actually have something.

As much as I hate to join this conversation.. I contend to this day that guild is the worst clan in the game. Wipe it out with elves and make rinth an all-elf "elven" quarter of the city. That way city elves actually have something. I love the Guild. But for over a RL year now it's been run by idiots who turned the criminal organization into a combination of Templar spies or "aides in rags". They would literally PK you for doing crime. I blame a combination of weak leadership and heavy-handed Templars for that. There's a new guy running it RIGHT NOW who seems to be cut from a different cloth and who I have interacted with a few times. I like him and I hope he's going to be the guy to make the change and put the Guild back up on the rails. Anyone who loves the Guild and who hates what has happened to it in the past, and finds themselves needing a new character should go join up and give that dude a hand. I neither know him OOC or really all that well IC but just from what I'm hearing in game, I think he's getting a pretty good handle on it. The elves ... I've been an elf a couple of times but they're either really great or really shit. The biggest problem with them lately is that a couple of PK-heavy twinks got skilled up and then decided to murder everyone else, even elves fresh out of chargen, who wanted to work with them. I really haven't had a great elf experience since the time of Tusk. |

I've had the opposite experience with rinthi elves. I almost always get included... but then, I know The Rules. If you break the rules, of which there are many, you'll be lucky if it's a PC elf doing the job, and not a Jaxa NPC. Note that they are not normal rules, but knowing which Jaxa family owns what area, who all the Jaxa are, and knowing when you can break the rules.

They think I've some vendetta against the game despite never having issues with the staff before. They are incredibly paranoid and dragged me into their delusions.
Shabago tried blaming my account for Shalooonsh's sexual harassment then they banned me when I called them on it and abused them after being patronised by Nessalin instead of apologised to. Shit was like an awful plot IG.
