It was just Byn training, and trying to make every sparring match a fair one. Like Sirra says, I wasn't too worried about maxing my weapon skills, more my defence. With weaker runners or later, our crew members, you remember me beating the crap out of that stump with my bare hands as he tried to use a sword on me? Exactly.

I still remember that sharp like "Look out! There's a crazy breed with a crazier stump running about! They almost killed me!" "Oh yeah? You get a look at 'em?" "Blah blah blah" "Oh, yeah, that's my crew, just keeping east side safe." he then ran.

To be fair, he was a stump. Unless they are twinky their wisdom keeps them down for sometime. But it was otherwise hilarious to see a necker bash the ever loving shit out of any thing in sight unarmed or otherwise.

Anyway, i have noticed that in combat weapon weight affects a lot of things. Any know just what it affects and by how much. Whats the speed/dam difference between an obsidian heavy headed mace versus a lighter obsidian mace.

It starts to affect things AT LEAST at easily manageable. I prefer Light. Not sure if it gets better or not at no problem. It's a lot, is how much it affects it.

I mean the weapon itself. Lets say you can hold fifty clubs and still be at light. Would a 12 stone club be all that different in potential 'dps' to a 6 stone one.

Weapons have a visible "value", that any character without master value skill and alot of wisdom is probably going to "See" incorrectly by a couple percentage points. Inside value, weapons have a balance of weight, + or - dam, + or - accuracy, possible + skill, and some level of durability. I have no idea if there is some balancing formula, but I really suspect there isnt. Hands down the best performing weapons in the game are clan weapons and salarr "order only" items. If you get to clans that didnt have alot of mastercraft oversight (ahem) there are some staggeringly powerful weapons, but attaining those is a roll of the dice even when that clan has active members. Having some of these items may also get your pc killed. I'd encourage you to think about the fact that there are -accuracy and -damage weapons in the game. I think they are far more powerful than + damage weapons.

Do you mean +acc and -dam or really -acc and -dam. It sounds like that would be the opposite of what you want.

Oh I know skill trumps weapon. But im of a mind that: stats+skill+weapon= that one guy who sword rapes the high lord twice before breakfast.
