I tried playing threshold, but it was far too cheesed for my tastes, and it showed in the RP of established characters, not to mention, the full game costs thousands of dollars to play. I did enjoy Inquisition, but I got the 2 1337 4 u vibe from one to many characters, which, in my book, even one is too much, so one was enough to where I was like, nope. Currently playing Sindome and while I like the setting, and the admins, I feel like there's a huge flaw in game design there, still, trying, to shrug that off and play the damn game.

Some of us over there try, you know T.T Of every MUD/MOO I've ever played, Iron Realms had the most airheady - if not outright repugnant - roleplay from your average player. Most MUDs that I've played didn't have any RP at all, granted, but I'd much rather have no RP with an emote command for fucking around with than .... whatever that stuff is supposed to be. I tried two of their games and they were essentially the same in this respect, if not literally all other aspects too... And while I'm sure I'd witness worse RP from your average player if I tried joining a DBZ MUD with RP required or something ... or Twilight ... those are bottom of the barrel comparisons. And my god. So much brown nosing. It's a brown nosing airheady clusterfuck and I just can't. On a positive note, their interface is pretty. And I actually enjoyed the combat as well given exception to the PVP/PVE powers/skill/whatever thing (it was awihle ago). Edit: Honestly, if you enjoy yourself over there or are otherwise getting out of it whatever it is that you're trying to, good for you. As much as I detest the idea of playing i.e. a DBZ MUD, 'whatever floats your boat' applies. |
