Not necessarily true, I've been blindsided by an animation or three... that said, it's really hard to get the ok to have NPCs act without someone feeling some favoritism is going on, and such ...accusations are not always without merit, but an echo of crowds gasping isn't really a ton to ask for. Also, Valorisk, to my previous understanding, really had it coming. I won't say why, but he did.

Doesn't matter if he had it coming, someone offered 50k for his head.

And they never did pay up.
Unfortunately, being owed 50,000 coins is apparently "not a big deal" because it never did get resolved so far as I know. I was the one who organized the hit, I won't tell who DID offer up the coin but I will say that "Guess you should've taken half up front" was pretty much the mantra of staff, despite the Guild being well able to collect on that coin if they wanted to.
I certainly didn't want or need the coin, I wanted the fame and knowledge that the Guild was something to FEAR. Within a RL week everyone knew who did it, and it was demanded that they have their day in the Arena.
Feh. Shadow Guild of thieves my ass.

People DO forget at times that the Guild is something to fear. It's funny to see someone pissing on a rinthi and wonder, "How has that person survived to this age?", it's even funnier when it becomes a trend, because you know that, sooner or later, someone's going to say, ok, playtime's OVER...
*DING*
But for some reason, no one else seems to get that. Every time I've ever kicked a rinthi in the junk it's cost me pretty dearly, maybe the few times I've done it, it was the straw that broke the camel's back.
