also for the record i legitimately do not give a shit about making arm a better game or w/e gets ascribed to this place. i'm not carrying any ulterior motives here then getting a personal enjoyment out of these forums. I think the improvement that was taking place was a byproduct of your not giving a shit, ironically. Though the improvement has always been limited. There's still the insurmountable culture of limitation strangling the game. |

I hope no one goes to the game's facebook group and finds the real life names of the staff members and then does background checks on them, finding out all their dirty little secrets. Someone who wanted to cause trouble could do a vast amount. The info leaked in the wiki is really a non-issue, just a reason to act slighted. Maybe they just feel violated and I think it's a healthy lesson in humility. Pretty much. I mean, I can find out a lot more from a staff member's facebook page than the email, phone number and general area of a state they live at which was in the AIM 2005 hookup page on the wiki. They rented a cottage house about 2 hours from where I live, but I was too busy playing Runescape back then at the ripe age of 10 to run out there and harass them like some schizophrenics on the GDB are insinuating might happen. |

The RAT thread is making me just smh. I can't even tell if it's real outrage or just them clambering for more staff kudo's/karma.
The personal info I can understand, but people are still going on about game secrets. It's such fucking bullshit and they know it. Only the 'privileged cool kids' get to that info and they're most mad about that I think. That subconsciously they don't have anything to lord over other people like they love to do.
I always get the tingling sensation that you're either in or your not shit and most of us were driven here from not only staff, but other players treating us like shit, cause we were 'new' or we didn't role play 'the right way' or we weren't on the AIM list. I use to struggle with Armageddon till I had these boards to learn from, no one else was sure as hell providing info, no one on the GDB was lending a helping hand, the best you could hope for in terms of GDB is being ignored, they aren't going to welcome you into the community. Unless of course you post something in disagreement then you'll have everyone crawling up your ass to prove you wrong and how dare you bother to play OUR game, shut up and be happy or leave.
Sorry but this wound is entirely self inflicted, you treat people like shit don't be surprised if shitty things happen to you, and the moaning and whining about 'Muh secrets' explains sooo much. Now I know a bit more of what you know, you're not that special any more.
You can decry the personal info, that's too far, but to decry the secrets proves a point. The community's 'elite' are petty as fuck. We found out your secret club handshake and now you're mad about it. That's fucking rich honestly.

the swift and sound reaction reflects nessalins historical ultratight paranoia abt being judged for how he is rl (even while he has failed to discourage his own staffers to find out about similarly private 'problem players' lol). arm was his personal sandbox for setting up a space for him to be respected in a way that rl simply wouldnt, and this partial dox threatens to juxtapose the idea of him in gameworld terms with the very underwhelming rl avatar he needs u to either ignore or disassociate from him in order to respect and 'fear' lol as malken said on the gdb Most of these losers rely on Armageddon to make their miserable lives still worth living and without the game and that forum, they wouldn't have much left to help forget their miserable existence on a daily basis, and that'd be sweet vengeance for me. and this is exactly why the game may be getting shut down, the main overlord and past/present problem staff are exactly these types that players have been having to deal with for most of arm |
