Sadly the release of personal information is not illegal. It is however unethical (which is probably why he removed it).

And according to the DMCA if the staff wiki is considered copyrighted information, than hacking (via a PHP injection tool) it and posting it is also in violation of it.

The people on staff gave up their information willingly. The "gagging contract" which staffers agreed to was not notarized nor is it legally binding or with any legal consequence. So, for that information to be displayed, there is no "crime" because the information was given up willingly with no precedence of legal privacy.
That being said, I'm glad that the ethical thing was done and the information was removed.

this is really the 2015 wiki? most of these files are pretty bare. I feel like I'm missing something where's the file on tek that says he got roflstomped and is actually now in daddy's skull? A good portion of what you'd consider documentation was on the IDB when I was on staff. I wouldn't be surprised if people were too lazy to transfer most of their discussions to the wiki when finalized. So you released a list of staff names, addresses and contact information. Scrambled to remove them twenty minutes later when you realized, and can now only hope that the people who got it before it was fixed don't use that information. And you don't think this could at all be harmful to them? I think that could actually be illegal. It is HIGHLY illegal. I look forward to you posting the statute, Internet Lawyer.

This is the 2002 wiki. The 2015 wiki would be so lit that it'd crash everything. We're not so lucky to have recent communications. I'd like to see what was said about me (and others recently) on staff's side. this part is false, the content that is included goes up to at least ~2010 if not a little further. in addition if u couple that with changing methods of keeping information then it is also possible that they stopped transferring webpage info onto the wiki around that time period. otherwise no idea why info from the last ~5 years isnt there

Yeah, my bad. I was referring to the 2002ish information that had been put up beforehand. The wiki has information as recent as 2010, perhaps later.
Even so, having looked at most of the pages, there's nothing in there that's compromising currently. The staff wiki probably became unused around 2009.

Thank you for the effort of putting it up Barka, but I strongly recommend it be taken down again, for two reasons.
1. It rips away some of the veil of secrecy which makes the game special. Keeping things unknown creates a sense of possibility in the game. Sure, you can argue if people don't want to be spoiled, they should just not look at it, but, realistically, a lot will not have the willpower to resist.
2. It pointlessly upsets people who wonder why their characters who they worked so hard on and moved the world with don't have pages.

it all looks fairly outdated to me and I bet nyr has redacted most of that stuff anyway. you may as well assume kuraci outriders, the conclave, the blackmoon and a great deal more never even existed as part of current game history. I bet davaz and other chars listed aren't seen as being in line with the way the game is meant to be now either....and so they didn't exist, according to current admin. Of course pearl still gets imm backpatting on the gdb even to this day, so she's fine.
