here's where i'm at right now. i'm sorting through pages and making a whitelist. staff has not contacted me so im gonna assume they really do not give a fuck or want to mitigate any unforeseen consequences. i'm also inbetween on whether or not i want to release certain things uncensored -- player-submitted biographies in particular, as they have account names on them. i'll probably just edit out the account names and release them eventually because there's a lot have good content. there's also things like logfiles of senate meetings from an immpoint of view which I haven't combed through yet but when I glanced there was names attached -- I think it's character names but I'm not 100%. i'll try to put some of the wiki stuff in the next couple days. in the meantime, myself and others have put up some pages on the Arm wikia wiki from the 'secret history' files. I have no qualms about hosting it all uncensored if you're willing to send it to me. I walk a different path than you. |

Jcarter, what about players who have requests that their information not be shared? Will you be willing to listen to those? i guess? If people PM me the names of their characters that they submitted histories of to be added to the wiki I'll take a look and decide whether to weed them out or not. a majority of character bios are unimportant, but there's a handful of people that were critical parts of some huge events that imo are just as, if not more, important than the majority of the files. |

I posted it here, because I believe that folks here might So, consider what I'm saying, and decide for yourselves whether or not you can positively contribute to the at large situation. That's all I'm suggesting. Thank you for posting and sharing your experiences. I knew the Atonement situation from one (outsider) angle, but not yours. And I think you're very much on-point in terms of how we best move forward from here. |

But in addition to whatever vindictive glee they get from banning me, the real reason for my ban is to reassert control by sending a message to other players: “If you speak up, you could be next. We own this MUD, not you.” I'll keep this one short: banning a player of the caliber of RRR unprovoked is foolish. Excellent, long-term role-players and social masterminds are the Goddess-damn lifeblood of RPIs! Banning him feels arbitrary and given the current context, even gratuitous. |
