While you guys can do whatever the fuck you want. But there is a 'reason' why staff at least makes an effort not to reveal their identities. It's not really against the rules. But it does allow them to play the game 'and' staff at the same time. You're basically forcing a lot of grief by revealing their identities. For 'no' gain what so ever. This wont improve the game. This wont improve the staff. This wont improve you. There is no censure on this board and I support this. But in my opinion, discussing identities of staff, or discussing identities of players of living characters is ... stupid.
You know how you're sitting in Red Storm. You're a sulky rebel who enjoys his quiet time in a bar, amongst people who are akin you. You dont bother no one. No one bothers you. Anonymity and keeping to their own business is the Red Storm version of politeness. And then some fucker shows up, who quickly looks at every PC, asks their names and affiliations, studies their gear, and you just know the guy is probably some fucktard overeager Allanaki aide, or whatever other information gathering/gossip mongering fucktard that somehow stumbled into Red Storm and deserves to be bitch slapped. Well ... that's the vibe I'm getting when I'm reading the last few pages of this thread.

Well ... that's the vibe I'm getting when I'm reading the last few pages of this thread. Jesus dude, it's not like I have concrete proof that any of that shit is true, but holy shit, when they type of a certain way on the GDB, it's easy to notice, even when you don't read the GDB much. I really didn't think I would piss in anyone's Cheerios that badly with that post. Whatever, flip out on me all you want, as if I doxed them or something... No. I was half ass speculating based on the way people type. Obviously I got close or something, heh. I don't see why any long standing member of staff would want to shield their identity. Most of them barely care to. If you are going to act like a jerk to other people as your staff persona, I think that people deserve to know who your mortal persona is. It's like some people think they can be rude to others just when they can on staff. Yeah, this is definitely a minority, but I can't see why a staff member who did GOOD for the game and HELPED and made the game FUN for others would even give a shit as to whether or not they were identified. If anything, they should be proud of it, the ones who have earned that right anyway.

I talk to absolutely no one oocly. Anything I posted about staff identity is just conjecture based off the way the write. Shit.
I deleted the posts... If anyone besides eurynomos was genuinely offended, sorry.

I agree with armqwerty2. I think blindly making assumptions about iding people is unproductive at best

Playing more clannies, and solo-twinking up indie ranger#462 less. I agreed with you up until here. Why is a non clan pc lesser, if they build and engage in plot?

Because unfortunately clans require a certain amount of body membership to be able to involve into plots. If they lack it, the clan loses a shit lot of effectiveness and ability to participate, or initiate plots themselves.
Nothing is wrong with an indie who participates and initiates his own plots. That's awesome. But if you're an indie who twinks up the skills to be ready and be capable for when he's in a plot and then he 'waits' to be invited or involved into those plots. While Clans lack the membership to initiate those plots that others are waiting for, the result is that ... nothing happens, except a lot of twinking, and a lot of waiting for plots.

Any group requires some membership. I just think those groups need to be clans. Of your top three clans, have you played more than a dozen pcs in each? Twenty? Fifty? Yes, plots good and rp good. Lets not combine the issues around them when discussing them.
