The difficult thing to accept is they actually ousted their "no" man, their trump card, Nyr. No flowers left along his path, just kind words from them. Keep the faith, Kronibas. Do you really think they "ousted" him? Not saying it isn't possible. It's definitely a valid theory, that he was given an honorable discharge so to speak, a face saving move by saying he's on hiatus when really he's gone for good. But the official claim is that he's on hiatus and will therefore be back. You know LoD made a huge petition of players against bhagharva, voicing their complaints as an entire community. And as far as I'm aware it worked, he as kicked off. If we want any certainty that the days of nyr are gone and we can finally get back to enjoying our game, we're gonna have to get an official statement. Otherwise it's all conjecture. I think that he's an extreme perfectionist with all kinds of OCD issues. They didn't tell him he had to go. They did, however, see the conversations on the player retention thread as a chance to broach the subject with him; actually, Nyr, you do have a certain reputation - whatever. He couldn't accept that and so he left. |

How a team could be so blatantly dishonest to their players would be disgusting. And Nyr, for attempting to pull the wool over the eyes of a playerbase that has rejected him, would be a pathetic individual. But these are hypothetical statements. |

That's complete paranoia. And even if it were true, if he was secretly some new imm and we don't know it....and he behaves....then whatever I guess.
However someone with psychological issues as deep rooted as nyr had would be unable to conceal them for long. He'd inadvertently reveal himself sooner or later and we'd all go back to being disgruntled players, the player count would drop again and general morale would be on the decline.

Fuck official statement. Nyr's departure was voluntary. The "Oh yeah? Let's see how things will be with me gone" kind of departure.
Only way to make his disappearance permanent is to make the game 10x better then when he was present. And no matter how much people like to blame staff for everything, the biggest and best to make that game so much better, is by playing more and complaining less. Playing more clannies, and solo-twinking up indie ranger#462 less.

Some people can never improve or change, can never rid themselves of whatever mental malady or just plain obnoxious quality rules their personality. I believe nyr is one of these people. We've even seen him make a few vague attempts to be nice on the gdb....and failing miserably at it. Something about his upbringing, his genetic disposition, or his core self is so overwhelming he's simply destined to be a dick. Changing that would require years and years of extreme shock therapy or something equally drastic. And even then might not work. He is who he is and that's a person who does not belong in a seat of authority....not in Arm or anywhere really.
