Are we totally sure Malken's the one who went staff? Maybe it was @rgs Nope, not me at least. If I was on staff the last thing I'd probably do is post here. I actually wonder if there are staff rules about posting here. |

Most of you may disagree, but I actually think RGS would make a good staffer, so would Desertman, although I expect fewer disagreements with the latter.

i'm not particularly sure how i feel about this thread or recent events. i do feel that it's not really my place to try squashing things with it though because that would imply i'm trying to guide things or 'protect' people, which i am not interested in doing unless it spills into actual RL. that said, the people of this board can decide on their own whether they want to be a part of propagating it or not. if you do not want to be a part of it, then don't engage and let it fizzle out on its own. if you do, then keep on the course. This is how you admin a forum. Arm staff should take note. |

I don't know who winterbone or Kronibas are, but I honestly don't think winterbone was trying to be an asshole. Just reading the first page of the thread, it seemed like Kronibas was having a mental/nervous breakdown on the forums, from my perspective. I don't know that advising Kronibas to take a step back and take a deep breath or something was trollish behavior. I would advise that (and do that personally) to anyone in a situation where they become emotionally upset about something. I try to do that in my personal life and work life (especially work life). If something happens and it pisses me off, I try to take a few minutes so that I don't respond in an unprofessional/undesired manner. I sort of feel like that's what winterbone was trying to say when he responded to Kronibas. And I totally understand needing to vent and such, but it didn't seem like that was clearly what the intent was at the time (imo).

I don't think you can delete posts on the GDB, only edit them, unless you are an moderator/imm. Maybe they meant that he just edited the post and made it say something else, but I couldn't find any recent post from him that would be an obvious contender for the ex-joke post. |

Laura Mars and Malken are really tight so that's just as good as being able to delete it himself considering she apparently can delete posts there too, which is something new to me
and man, i was so tired after walking through all that snow earlier that i slept for six hours. it's so damn snowy out here that even the mountain town schools had a "snow day"... that NEVER happens.

What you're describing - people letting Kronibus know he seemed to have a problem - already happened a day earlier in another thread, where it had almost nothing to do with the new staffer or anything related to present-day Arm. It was no longer necessary. WB signed up solely to call Kronibus out in public, probably to piggy back on the previous day, in the hopes of shutting down a legitimate discussion about how malken would be as an imm and what it would say about the staff for making him one. If WB gave two shits about Kron there was already a thread he could have joined in or PMing available. |

Good theory? that malken... such a joker. to whoever said the first page made malken seem "thoughtful": sorry, maybe i just have less than most, but "thoughtful" is not what comes to mind after reading through his shit... petulant child/rich kid/worthless human garbage is what comes to mind. i know plenty of kids with money, though, who never come close to writing that way, especially about other human beings. and thanks, delerak. honestly i'll vote for hillary, too, if it comes down between her and trump or anyone else. |
