I think the intel's legit. if not... bad, strange shadow... Bad.
but the fact that Malken can even flame and not be banned - while i was banned - says a lot, too.
They deleted his post, but the punishment was still uneven. Probably because he was about to be made staff.

what if the new staffer isnt malken. what if theyre a good person who wants to help the game setting people up to immediately dislike them is only going to make their job harder Then they can prove they're a good person very easily.  But if they approach this volunteer responsibility with the same toxicity and vitriol that I've seen others do, then it'll be no surprise. |

Even if it IS Malken, I believe we all grow over time... I wouldn't completely write him off as a bad guy, but that doesn't mean he's done learning to be a better person, nor am I, for that matter.

I have been around enough drug dealers, junkies, bottom of the barrel human scum, and fucking lawyers (why, i was raised by one) that I know bald-faced lies reeking of half-truths and fake bullshit when I read it.

edit: it's not *personal* therapy... I think there are many people who benefit. Even new players, if it helps them from having their precious little souls crushed like mine was.

Staff don't care. They punish and marginalize the ones telling the horror stories - because, while true, it's ugly to them.

really tired of ppl typing like this expecting that staff are some how gonna analyze ur writing patterns.

i'm not particularly sure how i feel about this thread or recent events. i do feel that it's not really my place to try squashing things with it though because that would imply i'm trying to guide things or 'protect' people, which i am not interested in doing unless it spills into actual RL. that said, the people of this board can decide on their own whether they want to be a part of propagating it or not.
if you do not want to be a part of it, then don't engage and let it fizzle out on its own.
if you do, then keep on the course.

this was king's first post, just some snarky bullshit after he made an account right when nyr quit... probably staff. hell, sorry if i have been spamming your shit, jcarter. i gave playing the game and trying to be good a sincere, earnest, month long shot. i just don't think they are being anything but disparaging to lots of people still: As has been previously stated by others in this thread, I'd implore you to create accounts and bring about the change some of you so desperately seem to want. You won't get everything you desire in a single swoop of the proverbial nest, but by actually revisiting the game, boosting vote numbers and population numbers, you -can- show staff that this is a step in the right direction. I've never had any issues with staff or, more importantly, Nyr, but I'm always saddened to see players leave in droves. I guess what I'm saying is that if this is in some small part due to the bitching and moaning of an entire community for years, don't let the opportunity slip through your fingers so you can just continue bitching and moaning and being bitter for a few more years.
