Hey, so, a player came over here a couple of years ago CRYING HIS EYES OUT because of Nyr treating him poorly, which is why many of us came:

His name is malken, but now he is known as the staff member Caguya. This will be a thread to capture some of his gems from his... colorful times on the shadowboards.
He's a spoiled brat and self-admitted rich kid - he likes to brag about that as well as other things - and he somehow managed to come over here and be way more venomous than even some of the meaner posters here.
And that's the kind of person you let on the staff at ArmageddonMUD? Please. I would say I'm surprised, but I'm not.

He wasn't "allowed" back as if they personally allowed him back and forgave him, he came back after Staff gave out a complete ban amnesty to whoever had been banned in the past. Heck, even Delerak, Armageddon's #1 enemy, was allowed back!
It was a cool move on their part (or maybe they were just leaking out players like they are doing now) but let's not pretend that they are all Forgiving, Merciful and Kind in their eternal quest for justice and equality for all.

He's a really mature dude, too: "I've never personally had a problem with staff so I don't get what the big fuss is about." - people getting ridiculous spec apps approved for 4+karma classes with weapon skills I've never personally had a problem with Bill Cosby either, so until I wake up in a ditch somewhere all confused-like after attending a one-person PJs party with him, my pink panties wrapped up around my head for some unknown reason, I'm going to continue to think that he's a swell guy and a funny comedian. Looks like Arm's new staff can respect the shadowboards! I love how your usual GDB cheerleaders constantly comment on how much 'whining' goes on this forum. That's like going to an Alcoholic Anonymous forum and declaring that everyone there is a bunch of whiners and crybabies who only talk about alcohol related mishaps and nothing else. Yeah genius, this isn't the Jcarter Nyr Hatred Club & Fellow Birds Loving Association of America where you discuss the migration pattern of the bald eagle in between two posts about how Nyr ruined your favorite game on the internet. The only difference between you and I is that I have the guts to say what I think (I don't come here hiding under an alias and I usually say what I think on the GDB until they ban me) while you're still sucking it up by calling those who belittle and mocks your fellow players 'hilarious' in the hope that you'll finally get those two karma you've always dreamed about so you can play that lesbo Viv gemmed chick you've been wet dreaming about for the last six months. |

for this next one to make sense, you need to realize that he rennounced his anti-Nyrring and started sucking the guy's ass for karma like never before: You can almost taste the acidic bile in the back of Nyr's throat as he is made to 'apologize' either after being convinced by Talia that this was for the best PR-wise or after being made to by Adhira (you can see that she isn't happy at all about all of this). The best sorry you can give the rest of your playerbase who still slightly wants to believe in you is to stop being a dick for the next three months and act like you're sorry instead of just saying it because your playerbase is starting to notice the dark bruises you constantly left on your ex girlfriends' faces before they decided they've had enough and get the courage to leave. |

do you really think Malken is through with OOC cliques, or is that why he is now staff... because of those OOC cliques? I registered to voice a bit of solidarity here. I still play regularly and, at times, love the game. I'm a long-time player that has never accomplished much, not because of staff fuckery, but because I like the fringes. Never played a noble or Templar. Never even a Byn sergeant. I've been here 15 years, give or take. That and never reading the GDB are the best ways to play Armageddon, in my opinion. Don't interact with Staff unless you really, really have to and keep away from the OOC cliques and you might get to enjoy Arm for another 15 years. I did everything wrong in the end, I started interacting with Staff, fell in the OOC cliques (you tend to have to when you mostly play in areas with a tiny amount of PCs, you either suffer by yourself or try to bring some ArmAim buddies to play with you) and I paid way too much attention to the GDB (a common trap for those of us who have unlimited access to the internets at work - GDB, Reddit, Facebook, some work done, GDB, Reddit, Facebook, rinse - repeat until 5 pm!) As for the "started interacting with Staff" part I actually wanted to bring some positive thoughts and actions when I felt like things might start to change (When Talia and co came back to Staff - I know who Talia's player is and I have mad respect for her, she's a mighty swell lady - If you'd ask me who my top 10 Arm staff of all time are, that would probably be Calavera in position 1 to 9 then Talia at position 10) but when Nyr got promoted to Highlord (or whatever kids call it these days) and started using people's personal accounts and information to "win" his arguments, that was a BIG NO NO for me. How can you regain any trust in someone after that? If they're going this far, there's no telling what they might do next to "win" their next battle. |

I was recently banned to being a troll back to Malken after he was a troll about the shadowboards. But he used to think we were the Cool Kids: Hello 'geddon lovers and fellow Nyr haters! I'm your new official member, you may know me as Malken the guy who got banned this morning for calling Nyr a mega prick (twice in the same post, probably should have only gone with once, that was -my- tactical mistake) or for the guy who got banned after telling Nyr that his Tuluk plot with the spies who got under the Faithful Lady's ever seeing eyes radar was "fucking retarded". I won't bore you with all the characters I've played over my 15+ years Arm career, but I'm also a dude who totally lost faith in the current Arm. (To put things in context, I replied to a post by Desertman saying that most people had absolutely no problem with Staff in general, but that most problems came from Nyr himself and no one else - Hey, I even referred to him as Byr in my original post, to make sure that he wouldn't feel prejudiced against). Funny story, it took Wenda like 2 seconds to spot and delete my post, then ban me, while it usually takes her weeks, if not months, to reply to simple requests. |

Just a bundle of spunk and charm. This kid, this is kid is one of the Good Ones. He's a real catch, guys. I'm sure he will be as respectful and courtesy to players as he's always been to everyone else!

What's funny is that he seems to hate Nyr so much... when it turns out Nyr is the one who gave him all his karma. Bite the hand that feeds much, malkeninthemiddle? is it possible you've unknowingly arrived here from a parallel universe? I don't know, I'll admit I kinda hesitated to speak of my dislike of Krrxx because it might be you, hah. I also really don't remember the early days of Nyr.. He would mostly just give me karma when I asked for more, or when I asked if I could keep a class that I had special app'ed for. That's how I got my 3-4-5 karma. |

15 years of ArmageddonMUD.... and, umm, you've never played in the Byn? Just Tuluk? I guess I had forgotten about his playstyle preferences, which seem aligned with that of a middle aged woman. LOL, shit is starting to make sense right now: I praise Krrx for his ability to run a clan well. The guy knew his shit. It might be that you deserved the karma dock, or maybe he just didn't like you I'm not sure. I think Krrx loved the Byn. It was his baby the guy put a ton of work into that clan, and it's the most successful clan in Arm, nothing else comes even close. So I would not be surprised if you fucked with his clan he docked you karma. He really took no shit when it came to runners being idiots, or skipping chores, or trying to use the Byn to power game, he would login to the Captain of whatever unit you were in and boot you. Or LT or SGT or whatever. I don't blame him either, I preferred that style of leadership in the Byn. It made it feel really harsh and real. After Krrx left, the Byn became the clan for powergamers because there was no hammer coming down to stop it. You can't always just comment in someones acct log that they were power gaming, sometimes you need to teach a harsh lesson and go in game and gib their ass for it, or boot them from the clan. I have played Armageddon for over 15+ years and I have never, ever played in the Byn. I also mostly was playing just in Tuluk at the time, so I'm not even sure if the Byn was in Tuluk for me to fuck with to begin with.. |

He's really level-headed and humble, too... He's got a hundred games just waiting on him to be played: I went with 'nowhere' because I think I'm just over muds in general. This isn't the year 2000 when all I had to keep myself entertained was a very crappy PC and a 2400 bauds modem. In 2000, I would have eaten a shovel of shit just to be allowed to keep playing on Armageddon, but these days, if you aren't just as polite and fair to me as I'm willing to be polite and fair to you in our mutual dealings, you and your game can suck it, I have 100+ games awaiting me on my Steam as well as plenty of MMO's I've been trying to try out for a while now. |

Go to hell. This guy just got me banned for responding to his trashing this board... after he (you?) had come here for many of the same reasons we had.
Meanwhile, @banme - who also seems like they're on staff - like to say that I have too many "sharp edges" to play this game.
I don't think I'm the only one with sharp edges, though. Looks like they just made a dude a staff member who has just as many if not more sharp edges than I do.
It's just hypocrissy. I can't think of many plainer examples of hypocrissy.
