You guys have shadow cards? I want one. I was told that if you have to ask... It's trying to get a lockpick in Arm all over again.

To actually address the thread name - finding out how the XP gain system works has changed how I play immensely. I had no idea that it was a once per x time deal. Shit like that should be made public. Other stuff has too. Armageddon has become a better place in certain respects, and this forum has been part of that imo.

Nobody has ever apologized to a lot of people here, though, for problems stemming from nyr. it's just like... they don't really care that he was a jerk to so many players. and not just a little jerk. a big jerk. That's half the reason this board is so popular: staffs' unwillingness to recognize the outrageous faults of their predecessors. If present admin openly acknowledged the way things were and made a promise to never tolerate imm mistreatment of players again, I'd promote the MUD religiously. And that's a promise you can take to the bank. Sadly, hell has greater chances of freezing over than there ever being a public apology for having allowed nyr and co to exist in the first place. What's the cause? Apathy and fear of speaking out. Players are too eager to silence dissent and promote the status quo (just look at smokey and ghaati if you need evidence). If some player showed up on the gdb and suggested building a new village, starting a dwarf only clan, or making a shift in allanaks noble hierarchy you can count on long winded explanations why that's bad and things should stay as they are. It's that same mentality which has resulted in little more than the silent apology and slight change in tone we see now. But suggesting nyr and the behavior of others was anything other than full blown dickheadedness is a slap in the face. These people weren't just a little but uncool, they were wildly abusive and out of line. This needs to be recognized. Also urinemoose brokkr and seidhr should all step down.

It's ok, this will pass, you're a bright, intelligent individual with a good grasp of language and a message to share. Don't let it drag you down. Easier said than done, but, it is what it is. Keep on smoking, I don't have that option, but it would help me loads if I did.

It doesn't have to be. It shouldn't be.

It doesn't have to be. It shouldn't be. You mean like it shouldn't be taxed so heavily?

i still have lots of weed from my time growing and maybe like a quarter pound of hash oil, but quite frankly, i have hit a bowl ONCE today, like an hour ago, after being awake all day and mostly inactive.
maybe smoking more weed is the thing to do, but when i feel pushed to the limit mentally, it really isn't something i jump to instantly.

if i were to buy a joint from my local dispensary, it would cost $16. for just a joint. i could drive up the mountain to eagle vail and get a better deal, like 32 an 1/8, for some top shelf shit, but my car is fucked atm.
people are making millions off those stores while others suffer in prisons or in the ruins of lives broken by the Drug War... legalization has kept the poor from prison in CO, but it still mostly benefits the rich.
i'm not even allowed to grow in the trailer's back yard... it's supposed to be behind lock and key, inside, which further punishes people who want to grow for themselves.

maybe smoking more weed is the thing to do Shrooms have been shown to help with depression/anxiety months after taking them. Might be a better option if what you're looking for is being mellow. It's not actually related to the psychedelic effects - different parts of it do that. There's money being put into getting the depression helping part separated.

in a single outdoor season, you can grow enough to literally last you years, but the people up top make it hard to grow outside
cause they want you to buy from their stores.
the only way i was able to grow so much outside before was because i was VERY, VERY, VERY isolated WAY away from everyone else in the middle of fucking nowhere.
still, helicopters patrolled over me on the reg, occasionally hovering over me by a few hundred feet to presumably count my plants.
it was scary. those two years were really scary and hard. and all i had to keep me company was a stripper from denver.

Hydro shrooms are pretty readily available out here during summer for as cheap as $100-$150 an ounce. i enjoy them but love me some good family LSD more.

I used to have panic attacks whenever an aircraft flew overhead... then, after being homeless a year, they put me up in a place, next to an airport, I'm STILL not used to it.

Shit, LSD is just one of those things that's so terribly unpleasant that after doing it you feel relieved in comparison. It's like turning up the hot water in the shower all the way to scald the hystamine out of your skin.

Awww, heh heh. it can be unpleasant. if it starts being unpleasant or anxiety inducing for me, i find benzos usually help chill things out some.
i always recommend that people new to LSD have benzos on hand... just in case.
