Would make sense that Malken got spared. I just spotted a mistake by malken thanking those who welcomed him as the new staff but he quickly removed it and now its gone. LOL, that makes perfect sense. thanks for sharing. |

that's exactly what Arm needs:
another spoiled white brat who likes to judge people.
He'll fit right in. with some of them at least. I know there are some good ones, but I feel they're sorely outnumbered.

I remember a flame war I had with Nyr once in a political thread... We were out of control.... it was pretty ugly, something I'm not proud of. It wasn't his staff account so I didn't get in trouble.

yeah, if you want some foreshadowing about malken on staff, just read what he wrote when he came over here with his bullshit, only to come back again and flame people when he wanted to kiss some ass.
he's just a brat. a noticeable one.

They should be spam private messaging people like BitterFlashBack, offering him RL money or metal weapons or flying mounts in an attempt to recruit him... instead of taking on someone who has proven to be hostile, combative, ass kissing, etc
Malken deserves to be on staff about as much as I do right now... which isn't very much at all.

let's not all try to act confused when we wonder how someone like nyr was allowed to shit all over the game for so long.
there is a huge difference between IC and OOC on Arm, and I think how you treat others OOCly should be a far greater determining factor than how well you did with your noble character.
it's not, though. they just see that he tried to beat his chest at the shadowboards, and they liked that. nothing else matters much. like some kind of spoiled lemming, he decided to hate who the people in charged hated... and now he's being rewarded for it.

I played for a month and knew something didn't feel right on Arm.

i really enjoy ArmageddonMUD, and the times i haven't... mostly came from staff judging people, being arbitrarily heavy-handed, etc... staff have the potential to make the game great, too. i might have never stuck around if Karianna and Sanvean had not taken me under their wing, but they did. more than anything, the staff have the power to make the game a dream or a nightmare. unfortunately, nyr set some terrible precedents when it comes to dealing with players, so people like Urine Moose, I think, after seeing him get away with it for so long... well, they think it's okay to act the same way since they saw him do it and go unpunished. here's a clue: it's not okay to be that way to people. period, paragraph. being a staff member on Armageddon does not grant you the right to be a dick to people. Nyr learned that the hard way. I agree people should be generous with and courteous to one another. I dont think you tend to get this kind of social agreement outside of face to face relationships. My question back to, no offense intended, is: Has your participation in the group been worth whatever sharp edges or eccentricities you also bring with? Revisiting this question. Banme, look at my patterns pre-nyr and post-nyr. Something changed then, and sorry, but while I maybe could have done things differently, I really do not accept full responsibility for being made to feel defensive. Look at all the other people that Nyr shat on, and you might get the big picture. People seem to have tunnel vision sometimes. If you put a dick in charge of the game, the people he acts dickish to are going to grow defensive. unless they are ass kissers or weak, and then they will probably just go along with what he says. but not everyone is like that. sometimes, when people are stepped all over... they stick up for themselves. sometimes, that entails becoming defensive and calling BS when it's spotted. |
