The staff really are what's wrong with Armageddon. There have been some great RPIs in the past, but now Armageddon is the only reasonable permadeath RPI on the market. Would love to see a few programmers and builders get together to right the wrongs of Armageddon. Bitter? Delerak? Lulz? Ah, maybe one day. Anyway, I feel you kronibas. I really wish I could go back to enjoying Armageddon. Fuck the gdb and the staff cliques and fuck the losers on here that treat it like a secondary gdb. i really enjoy ArmageddonMUD, and the times i haven't... mostly came from staff judging people, being arbitrarily heavy-handed, etc... staff have the potential to make the game great, too. i might have never stuck around if Karianna and Sanvean had not taken me under their wing, but they did. more than anything, the staff have the power to make the game a dream or a nightmare. unfortunately, nyr set some terrible precedents when it comes to dealing with players, so people like Urine Moose, I think, after seeing him get away with it for so long... well, they think it's okay to act the same way since they saw him do it and go unpunished. here's a clue: it's not okay to be that way to people. period, paragraph. being a staff member on Armageddon does not grant you the right to be a dick to people. Nyr learned that the hard way. |

Kron, it's possible you have slight BPD or depression that is being exaggerated by this snowstorm. You should consult professional help, and I mean that from a place of compassion, not to insult you on the interwebs.

i spent this past week looking up in patient treatment for suicidal ideations - after going to bed obsessing over it, only to wake up obsessing over it - and even looking at local counselors who charge per session.
i live on the outskirts of Vail deep in the mountains. so, everything is expensive on that front. i can't afford any of it and i don't have a rich daddy to help me out. but i did look it up. i realize that i need help... it's just beyond my reach right now.
i do have some people that owe me a couple of grand, but when that comes in, i need to use it to get my car fixed so i can go back to work.
Hopefully when that happens, within the next couple of weeks, i'll be able to do some good.

it's weird you mention BPD because i was reading about that a couple of days ago and it seemed to fit.
i probably have some underlying mental health problems, but the stress and hopelessness of this shit i'm in does not help much at all. especially considering the absurdity of how it all started.
i think i'll be fine when shit isn't so rough anymore. just need to make it that far first.

ghaati, it wasn't deleted when they banned me or within an hour of them banning me... and i sure as hell haven't looked at the GDB today. good to know though. that seems more fair than last night.

Arm's current staff is like if you take a bunch of really bad people, remove the worst one, and then expect everything to be fine. Many of the remaining staff are still shit, with disgusting attitudes and no clue how to run a game. But it's still better than having Nyr at the helm, because he was worse than the rest of them. The others are still people picked and trained by Nyr, though, and people who tolerated him and were able/willing to work under him, which says much about them.

if this means what i think it means, then you might can get pain pills to help with BPD, which is what I think I may have. Hell, I feel better already:

and yeah, oldtwink... i have next to zero OOC knowledge of staff, so it is hard to tell who has been really pro Nyr, or who might be a little more understanding about a lot of the shit nyr pulled. Urine Moose is definitely pro nyr. Would lean heavily toward sedhir is right there with him. If Talia and cavaticus left with him, then there was probably a falling out... so who knows who was on the other side of that. if that was what happened. I don't know enough and don't care enough to ask and figure it out... couldn't get a straight answer outta anybody anyway probably.

My question back to, no offense intended, is: Has your participation in the group been worth whatever sharp edges or eccentricities you also bring with? |

Kronibas, keep in mind that some %20 of people with bipolar disorder also have BPD... but yeah, another player got me to look it up, and I was just, shocked, everything fell into place and I was like, it all makes sense now. I've always felt very intensely and had little impulse control, I can't keep my emotions in check... it sucks when people keep kicking your teeth in over shit you can't regulate...
