Erm, without giving away too much, I have been playing a few years now. I've been around for, and occasionally communicated with Nyr through requests.

fair enough. i think at three years played there is just probably shit you aren't completely aware of for some of what i'm talking about to register fully. a lot of people who started playing after 2005-6 probably wouldn't even fully get the full scope of what things were like during Sanvean and what they shifted to after she left and Nyr started slinging his shit everywhere... even at what she had done... maybe especially at what she had done. Heh. But she was way better than him, if but for the fact she was more mature.
no, sanvean wasn't perfect. but at least more mature. and way, way more educated when it comes to... actual writing. not hack psuedo-intellectual bullshit a la you-know-who.
i think a lot of that is lost on people who have only played in the time of nyr. even if they have communicated with him.
he made so many enemies of people who had already been playing that i certainly see why he would try to be nice to noobs to make up for that.
