He's on leave for 'real life shit' according to a post by staff. So yes, but there's a chance he'll be back to fuck shit up again.

Its gotta be pretty tough to stick your head in the sand up in immland anymore these days. That cat's out of the bag and the denial just can't go on anymore. Everyone's trying to play real nice, so I think they know what's up. Even urinemoose is using smiley faces and trying to act like a human and not a reptile in some of his posts lately. I almost wonder if nyr showed up would they politely say 'sorry there are no current openings for staff at this time, please apply during the next announcement and we'll process your request in the order in which it was received.' But it'll be interesting to revisit this topic in 6 months or more.

What ever happened to talia? wasn't she also on temporary leave?

Cavaticus, Nyr, and Talia are all 3 IRL friends. They rented a cottage about a year back and bragged on the GDB about getting drunk together. I remember being in teamspeak listening to them.

It's clear that they were their own immortal clique. When one screwed up, the other covered their mistake. That was my problem, when dealing with my Sergeant getting force-stored under the weight of Cav's terrible storytelling technique; if you think it's bad getting blood out of the stone that is the Armageddon admin team, try doing it when they're all three amigos who spend hundreds of dollars to hang out together. You fight up that chain, of people who are not only incapable of looking at their friend's screw-up from a reasonably unbiased level -- but they're actually covering for one another, breaking their own Imm rules, and attacking me in the process. But that dead horse has been beaten.

So to make a long bitter story short, Talia left because Cavaticus and Nyr were on the way out, too. And since she was a poor admin in a technical sense (unable to change a room into a save room over the course of 6 months, when AoD clan RPTs could have benefited from it), there was no reason for her to stick around since her good buddies who covered for her were leaving, too.

Keep on the lookout: if one returns, then the other two won't be too far behind. Their entertainment from the game was one another and their staff clique, and they don't have any actual investment in the game itself. Just look at how they interacted with players, and try to tell me that they valued the playerbase and treated everyone with respect.
