KKK level - Outer Ring, best case scenario. But that's a great place to be really.

As far as the thing RGS is talking about, I have, at times, felt that people go out of the way to murder my characters once they realize who's playing them. I have enough trouble playing characters who are major assholes and surviving, I don't need my board handle out there for the AIM cool kids club to aid them in sniffing me out. I know, it's petty, and hard to believe it happens. One can always find an excuse to justify such jackassery, however, and it does happen.

I don't think any of the shadowspeak people would do that. They might make fun of me, but that's about the extent of it. If they're playing a character that's going to murder mine, they'd likely have done that whether or not they knew who was playing them.

I get what you're saying, Jkarr, which is why RGS, and, lately, I, adopt GDB alts for clan boards.

heh, i think the idea of going to APMs to swap info is silly.
The APMs that happened umm I guess close to ten years ago now... well, people told stories, but even as someone who has played this game for twenty years, I have learned FAR, FAR, FAR more from these boards than any APM... except maybe when Joshua Dinges spoke.
Most of the talk at APMs was of stuff that was already history, and while I have played Arm around people I've known for over ten years at APMs, we were usually too wasted to do anything except die.
in fact, getting wasted... not digging deep into the secrets and bowels of Stuff Mere Mortals Should Not Know... is how I have spent most APMs, doing shit like trying to get ghost to eat some valium for getting punched in the face for not using a condom to fuck fnord's girl... maybe getting whipped by a cat o nail tails once or trying to ignore samoa getting shat on in the hotel bathroom by her Master.
yeah, secrets are talked about at meetings like that, and i would say most of them follow the year long rule... i have never seen a murder scheme or anything of gravity be hatched at an APM, though; that's what's AIM is for, and I would say most of the bullshit OOC scheming that goes down happens entirely online.
besides, most of the APMs we used to have were very public, and anyone could come if they wished. now, having not seen any invites on the gdb, it is probably just small cool kid gatherings that give some people a sense of exclusivity... the ones i've been involved with were open invites, not snobby little invite only shindigs.

I honestly do not think I'd get along with many of them. It'd just be an exercise in disappointment. Much better to simply anonymously ruin their text.

Second, come back to the game. You are missed.
