This shouldn't even be called Arm Discussion Board. It annoys me actually. Sure plenty of players here played it, but we've also played SOI, Harshlands, God Wars II. People like to come here and bitch about Arm but this isn't even the place for it. Go bitch at the GDB and get banned like you have some fucking guts.

Life would be so much easier, if before making any prediction, you had iron clad proof of someone thinking or feeling a certain way. Imagine that. Before every presidential election we would know ahead of time how the candidates really felt on all the issues! In any case, his posting history on the GDB shows that he never strays from the party line. You've already posted in another thread, the delusional belief that all the staffers turned against Nyr and forced him out. If you really believe that, of course you're going to have trouble with my predictions. But that's just what they are. I don't think the current Armageddon staffing culture would have allowed for anyone but Nyr's handpicked protege to step up. You seem to be deeply and personally invested in believing otherwise. Well. Fine. Hold onto your hope. We'll see how things go. I personally think you'll get more of the same, as the game's been, but with less Nyr-snark, until Nyr returns after the holidays are over. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm right. I can only extrapolate from my own observations. A third party assessment of your situation.
You have gotten to the point of being so jaded that you are willing to openly admit your points have no backing at all but yet you will still argue them like they are the Lord's gospel and you are the mightiest of Christian Warriors.
When you get to this level of "jaded", you no longer get taken seriously.
It is pretty obvious for now that you will say anything you can to try and hurt the game out of spite. You've become one of those spiteful players where your goal isn't to make a better game, but it is instead to bash the game and the staff in any way you can....even when you openly admit you have no backing for any of your points or claims.
I don't care what your opinion is of this assessment. I'm giving it to you because I feel you need it.
My recommendation is to take a little break until you aren't so mad anymore.
(I don't believe you are entirely wrong in a lot of what you say. You are however getting to the point/have passed the point where the ideas you are presenting are overshadowed by said presentation methods. Basically, even if you say something valid now, the way you are saying it and the way you are coming off just makes reasonable people disregard it.)

Well. Fortunately, it will be very easy for either one of us to be proved wrong or fight. That said, I think you're dramatically misreading both my intentions and where I'm coming from. And some of this, like about the gospel and such, is just bullshit, when I've admitted like five times in four separate posts that I could very well be wrong. About the only thing I've seriously disagreed with, is the fantasy perpetuated by some around here, that Nyr was somehow forced out and that Rath was elevated by meritocratic acclaim. I find that hilariously preposterous. If you're so committed to white knighting the game, that you have to attack me on a surprisingly personal level, while offering entirely unnecessary advice...then maybe you're the one who isn't thinking too clearly. All I've postulated is that in a Nyr-dominated political hierarchy, anyone chosen to step up and take over the reins from Nyr is likely to be someone that thrived in that environment. Maybe you disagree. Fine. The fact that I feel people are indulging in wishful thinking does not make me jaded. I'm simply not playing (and never will play again so long as Nessalin is a producer), so I simply have no temptation to lie to myself and hope for the best. If anything, I'm considering the situation with the most clarity. But whatever. A couple months will prove us right or wrong. I only replied to your post D-man because it was so outrageously over the top in its assumptions. |

Newsflash cocksucker: I've never once claimed that I was infallible. I made a prediction. Bitter asked me what factors contributed to that prediction. I listed the factors. Bitter agreed with some, he didn't agree with others. We all moved on. It's only cunts like you that are so hysterically wrapped up in all of this, that you're getting as defensive about it as people get on the GDB. Guess what? I want Rath to do well. I want you all to have fun. People deserve to have fun. But I gave an honest opinion, and when prompted, I gave an honest assessment of how I came to that opinion. I'm not claiming everyone has to agree with me. And I'm not trying to convince anyone to do so. All I've tried to do, was show that my prediction was not fueled by negativity and vitriol. If only Rathustra moved to a country that does not have him play the MUD offpeak all the time, Arm would be much much much better off. My current opinion of staffers right now is that if you combine awesomeness, assholeness, willingness to work with people, energy to work with people, creativity, spontaneity, flexibility, ability to write, patience, and innovation, the only staffer better then Rathustra right now, is Shalooonsh. Who still plays, but chooses to play as a player only.
If Arm had 2-4 imms like Rathustra (And in a way, we might, but they need to stick around longer and endure long-term for a bit), then Arm's problem with staff would be solved completely.
If all 3 producers were like Rathustra, well ... Delves would probably conquer Allanak by now.
