now that Nyr is gone, and staff have made a variety of unofficial scattered claims that they aren't total dicks, my question for you all who still play: what's life like without the dick?
are you noticing improvements in staff/player communication (privately or publicly)?
are you seeing more interest in your stories? Are you seeing more animations and exciting things happening?

Too early to tell, I think.
I haven't really noticed any broad sweeping changes, but I've at least been able to get into some fun nonsense.
It just -feels- better playing without Nyr around, but that's more psychological than anything.

It just -feels- better playing without Nyr around, but that's more psychological than anything. that's really 90% of it, i think. a lot of leaders were burnt by Nyr's omnipresent naysaying and anal meddling and rulesmongering; more of those people - the good RPers - coming back with fresh minds and clear hearts and the dick out of their ass and you'r going to have a better vibe and a better experience for everyone. |

i mean it was sad that a lot of veterans felt like Desertman did - that the only way to keep playing was to avoid certain staff and just keep your head down and do your thing and hope you don't get abused randomly.

Well. I got banned after Nyr left. And I don't think what I posted merited it in the slightest. OTOH, I was already well done with Armageddon, so I'm not being all kronibas about it. Even before Nyr left, you still had someone like Nessalin handling staff complaints. Which is a bit like having Jared Fogle work for social services. I also posted on this board, an example of what his impartiality looks like.Although, I'm pretty sure that Nessalin's secret search history would be way more horrifying than Jared Fogle's. He has that look about him that says, 'Yes, I've jacked off to my little pony and/or shemale porn, while tears streamed down my cheeks'. |

Actually I came back just as Nyr left (coincidence actually), but a question request of mine was answered in a really kind hearted way  here's what Jave said in signing off; Let us know if you have any other questions. I'll leave this open for a moment so you have a chance to reply and then close it out if everything's good. Well for lack of a better word, cute manner, and they even went way beyond the original question to point out how some of it is relevant to my character. Dunno if this is a new development on behalf of staff, but the whole interaction was really pleasant. |
