Better than his?
I mean objectively, in a vacume what's your posting history like? Do you take time to think through how you deal with people at all? Do you post the first thing that pops into your head? Maybe some of it's thought through, some isn't. How do you distinguish which you'll do in a given post?

I suppose that's fine. Not like I can make you. It's just that you seem to really devote yourself to characterizing other people's flaws, but you don't seem to me to go out of your way to avoid some of those same flaws. You seem to be of the opinion that being "better than them" is enough, regardless of how good that makes you. I've always kind of assumed objective standards of behavior, so I was curious as to the mindset of someone that evaluates themselves entirely in comparison to others and the underlying assumptions there. But I'm being "lolled" so I suppose I'll just have to guess at them. |

I've gone out of my way in the past to be polite to staff and even assume the best from them. Mostly, all I got in return was abuse. So yes, over time, I became more blunt. |

Sirra, I like you and all, but part of me begins to wonder if you were trying to get that thread closed to prove a point, or just being your usual trollmonster self. I'm almost positive it was the latter, albiet a more polite version. I like your trollmonster persona over here, over there it seemed like it was a different spirit entirely (likely due to the gravity of the situation over there making it hard to take lightly). I've been banned from the GDB a few times for trolling and flaming. I deserved it, I just shut up and take my ban. I'm different over forums than I am in game.

I guess the only answer to this, is to read what I wrote. If you think calling Lizzie a diehard - after even Desertman admitted she was repeatedly interjecting herself rather obnoxiously into the conversation when it was clear none of it applied to her - was going too far and being a trollmonster, then I guess that's your answer. Personally, I think it's bad form to invite people that have quit the game, to offer opinions as to how it might be improved...and then desperately arguing every point raised as being invalid or how it's for the best. It gets tiresome to read after awhile. But it is sad that an off-handed comment over Lizzie spamming the thread with all of her defenses for the status quo, which were really out of place given the topic, managed to take all the attention from Old Kank's great post. Because the game does need a real cultural shift, and all the pity party circle jerks and consoling each other about how the current way of doing things is best, will not do anything to improve it. If all they want is a game of Lizzies, they are well on the way to achieving it. As to being a different spirit...well. At least I didn't type like a caturday GIF to hide who I was. Cuntsmack. |

Heh. Love you too, Cuntsmack. But yeah, I'll agree, Oldkank's post was superb, and definitely did not need to be hidden, he had a good point, but he made sure to highlight that it wasn't just staff, but players that could use some adjustments to attitudes and beliefs. I know Lizzie was spewing into the thread like that, it's what she does. It's best ignored, then compared to a ham sandwich here. You let her get to you, which, I can't blame you, I've had to stay my hand from flaming her many a time. Besides, some people found the caturday posts amusing.

If you'd ignored Lizzie's post, and stuck to your responses to Taijan's and Oldkank's, keeping Lizzie's name out of it, it might have gone over better.

Also, I've heard positive reviews from those who have had him as clan staff; they say he's really good about working with players in a positive way to help them achieve their goals, which is really all I ask for in clan staff. I can see why someone might be put off by the way he so cheerfully defends staff actions on the GDB, but c'mon, he's no Nyr. nyr was a pretty responsive/good st as well when he started, from my memories with salarr. then he killed the expansion division and for that i will never forgive him  |

It's highly possible that being part of staff for so long, taking so much work onto himself, on top of RL, resulted in some stress and bitterness that started to corrupt his essence and turn him into something he wasn't. Trust me, Nyr is nowhere near as bad as a number of staff were just before the Hellmoo meltdown. You'd suggest a well-meaning newbish *idea, and staff would pounce all over the comments section explaining exactly why you're retarded and you're lucky you're not getting banned, /this/ time.
