Sirra is just like that, Latrineswimmer, he says things to get under your skin. I find his abrasive mannerisms funnier than many major dickheads I've met. He did specify their PCs. It's just his way, I don't read his posts in a serious tone, they're usually spirited in such a manner that something tells me, there's no way this guy isn't joking. Thanks for the compliment, Latrineswimmer. I really did put a lot of time and effort into a tormented internally and externally, twisted douchebag of an elf, and where I could, I would try to avoid things getting derailed to the point where someone had to die. Sometimes it seems like staff was mad because he just, wouldn't, die like he was supposed to. To do that, I needed influence and affluence, I needed him to be valuable to all the right people who could give him an edge against the powerful forces working against him, and yes, I had to travel.
I was sad I didn't get to play more in the rinth, but due to the sheer magnitude and power of the forces working against Malrith, I really would not have been safe there. I wasn't really safe anywhere. Ah well, parts of it were fun, but it was very stressful usually.

Uhh, yeah. Sirra. What the fuck? Are we really going to do this PC bro crap, and pretend to care about this? 1) I was making a joke. 2) You fucking hypocrite. I know that a good 99% of the people on this board would not care or send flowers, if a crazy Israeli stalker beat up Nyr or Nessalin. If you want to have your faux outrage, have it without me.

Be even better if it were talk show format and someone was there with the "straight man" routine to act utterly horrified and provide him with more things to rage about.

lol sirra you're awesome. I would pay to watch you get on camera and rage about random shit. Honestly, it would be more entertaining if it were rage. But I'm not really coming from a place of anger, so much as one of bitter indifference. There are people I see and work with every day, that I would not care if they got beaten up. Because they're fuckholes and almost certainly provoked it. 'Oh, Kyle got beat up by four bikers down the street? Well. You know Kyle. He's got a big fucking mouth.' How much less should I care about some ginger megalomaniac or a jizz-encrusted neckbeard who are even more obnoxious than say, our friend 'Kyle', but can preen about it from the safety of 'relative' anonymity. If I had never personally interacted with Nyr or Nessalin, and just skimmed this board, I could still figure them for a couple of shitheads who no one should waste tears on. In this case, I have actually experienced these two cum-stains close up, and have had them shit all over a semi-enjoyable niche hobby of mine. So not only are they two anonymous jerk-offs on the web, they are two anonymous jerk-offs that went out of their way to ruin the fun of others. I can't drink my coffee without Google News telling me that some ISIS terrorists just butchered a school for wayward christian orphans - or that it was accidentally cluster bombed. I still manage to finish my coffee. And if I'm numb to that - and I don't care about the jackasses I know IRL - how much less can I possibly care about the jackasses I don't know. Honestly - in all seriousness - if Nyr got colon cancer, and then he was raped in his festering asshole to death, by some psychotic, meth-addicted fiend who somehow tracked him down to his address, I would not care much. I didn't even care about Amy Winehouse, and at least she wrote a catchy song. What's Nyr ever done but taken his infinitesimal pretend authority and use it to make as many random strangers miserable as possible?

What's Nyr ever done but taken his infinitesimal pretend authority and use it to make as many random strangers miserable as possible? It's so ridiculously over the top it actually is funny. Your point is, "I don't know these people and they are assholes so I honestly wouldn't care.". I completely agree with your sentiment. I'm the same way. If someone gets hit by a bus that I don't know personally, it's not like I shed any tears or even stop to read the entire news story. But I want staff to make decisions I would make if I was on staff myself. If I was on staff myself I wouldn't drop the bans on people who had threatened the lives of myself and my fellow staffers. Why? Because that's a pretty good policy to have if you are a staffer and you actually DO get together with people from the game in person at times. I don't want that person in the community. Would I cry crocodile tears IF I heard someone from the game got hit by a bus if I had never even met them personally? Not a single one. But I don't make recommendations for policies based on that criteria. I make those recommendations from the perspective of, "If I was a staffer would I want this to take place.". Why? Because anything else makes me a hypocrite.

I don't know, I care a lot about people I enjoy playing with, I care about their characters, how they're doing, if good or bad things are happening in their life... they wouldn't be crocodile tears in my case. I make it a point to never meet anyone, however. There was one player I almost went to meet somewhere, but after understanding the nature of the trip I declined to go, worried that I'd embarass them.

I don't know, I care a lot about people I enjoy playing with, I care about their characters, how they're doing, if good or bad things are happening in their life... they wouldn't be crocodile tears in my case. That's because we're each given a sacred choice, grumble. We can choose to conduct ourselves in a way that makes other people care about what happens to us. Or we can choose to act in a way that encourages people not to care. Some people - because they're usually better human beings - elect to care about these wretches regardless. My girlfriend lost her shit over Lamar Odom being in the hospital, and she's never seen him play basketball. And I cared too, despite not knowing him personally (and him basically just being a shady guy who OD'd in a whorehouse), because I had good memories (and past Lakers championships) associated with him. So I feel a nostalgic/sympathetic pain on his behalf. There's some pathos I can relate to. There are lots of people I've interacted with, while playing Armageddon, who conducted themselves in such a way, that I would sincerely care about their fate and wish the best for them. There are a few cocksuckers who have behaved in a way calculated to ensure I didn't give a shit. I care about you, grumble. I don't want you to be beaten up by a crazy Israeli stalker. And if you were? Man. I'd be wrecked.

Lmfao, that crazy isreali stalked would be in for one fuck of a surprise.
... but thanks, yeah, I'd feel bad if something happened to you, as well, even if you are a horrendous fuckwad who needs a girlfriend of astonishing compassion and kindness to put up with them (j/k). I'd feel bad if something happened to any of you. That this community could be as considerate as they are to a waffling psychotic with no value whatsoever to society tells me a lot.

Week 42: 197. Week 43: 184. Week 44: 207. Week 44 results in. Looks like they made the bandage check. We are still at five year lows. Let's see if any of those newbies stick around in this stale environment. I know I'll never log in until I hear a public apology and see Nyr at least step down. It sounds like there's about 20-30 peoples here that feel the same way, and who fucking knows how many people have fucking quietly left, unwilling fucking to put up a fuss about something as stupid as a game.

Where the toxic culture of the "old guard" has drove off veterans of the game, those still remaining are figuring out how to gimp the Armageddon experience in order to appeal to new players.
Why can't they just see that they need to re-sort their priorities from the staff-side, not the game-side?
Oh let's ruin the already broken economy by letting new players in with a disposable character... and lower the benchmark of the experience? These arrogant egoists would rather wrestle with uninterested, uninspired newbies than sort themselves towards re-creating the spirit of the game which made it good long before I was able to join.

Arm really needs a re-branding if anything. Just like any company when things are going bad you gut the leadership and start fresh or perish. ArmYourGeddon? iArm? KankHub? Uhh, yeah. Sirra. I'd gladly send them flowers if they were trapped in a hospital bed. Which are they most allergic to? I know I'll find a bit of glee in posting the results in a month or two, the precipitous rise after Nyr's departure. Here are how things stand now though from mudstats (already just 24 hours after the announcement, and of course voting helps, numbers are way way up, not reflected in the charts, of course):

Oh sweet Goddess, Bitter, you just about did me in with "KankHub"! It must be the punch-drunk mood I'm in right now, but I nearly lost my damn drink when I read that.
