Is this the part where I get to act like I contributed to the game world because I once spent a month or three trying to get that goddamn curtain replaced with a proper door only to have it rejected at the time-- but now that it's in (years later) I can't resist the temptation to try and be relevant? |

I think what we need to do is come up with a well written list of ways we think to fix ARM. Time to brainstorm. Maybe by some miracle staff will eventually see it and implement some changes. In the last 24 hours on this board we have had 20 members and 257 guests... how accurate the guest number is to actual people interested in ARM is hard to determine, I don't really know, it is still quite a lot of people who come here though. If ARM has only seen 220ish? unique logins, I bet there is a strong following here on the shadow boards, and we can be a -good- voice for the game if we make an effort. Maybe tomorrow I'll come up with a list when I have time... You could always appended it to my old thread on the subject. I don't think staff read it though. |

Once the staff team realizes they can artificially inflate these statistics in order to shoot through this "argument", I expect that's what they're going to do.
Instead of addressing the issue, they attack and warp the foundation of the critic's stance. That's their standing policy, and they've done it repeatedly; my bet is they'll do it again.

it's going to chug along for a while still with its core: people that are ok with skill grinding in an endless loop of characters, staff and the occasional newbie and minecrafters.
The numbers are going to stabilize around where they are now.

The numbers are going to stabilize around where they are now. I'm not so sure. Even skillgrinders need interaction, if only to measure and show off their progress or feel powerful. If they can't find anyone, they'll lose interest too. The game may have fallen below a threshold of sustainability now. |

Yeah, a large playerbase is most of what Armageddon had to offer. Without that, it's hard to see a reason to play.
