seriously though what else is there to do besides shitpost. pretty much everything else on the topic has already been said, its just rehashing. im calling it quits now because the board is turning into the gdb. we have reached that tipping point. for the old guard, there is nothing except circle-jerking, meta threads, meta activities like the shadowspeak, etc. what needed to be said has already been said. how many times can you say it. im starting to wonder here if this is how human groups operate in general. this isn't cool to me anymore. whats cool. i dont even know. does that mean i am not able to identify and detect trends like i used to? its really a conundrum, one my fellow memers would understand, the protomemies not so much. i believe the shadowboard has affected (i used that correctly, right?) armageddon in a positive way, and we are seeing some of those changes now. we have infected their psyches. the change is not entirely obvious, but it is there. i can sense it. i want to say its time for a new fun hobby but childish things like text muds dont interest me anymore. whats happening to me jcarter? what is this virus that has infected my joy for life? am i dying inside? some one please help a memer out C'mon, you giant baby, say it. We're not your real dad. When are you gonna stop bringing that up when you're bitching and whining about how cool your deadbeat old man is? Don't you know how it hurts us? |

if there's nothing to post or talk about, then there's nothing to post or talk about. this board doesn't have to be active for the sake of it; it goes through cycles (i.e. the lull before kronibasgate) and that's ok. it's not a substitute for reddit or whatever other discussion forums.

memes work at micro and macro scales, for instance - yes, small images with various bits of humorous pieces of information can equate to a meme in the facebook sense. but another meme would be the meme of acting a certain way on the internet. like mood for instance. he is a certain type of poster. subconsciously or consciously his personality has been hijacked by that meme. the "quirky barely intelligible meta poster who seems assured by his own lofty intelligence who doesn't really like to use punctuation" - thats a meme.
could start going into the territory of literally everything in culture being a meme and how feedback loops determine how they change in a neverending cycle, we the victims. but its too early in the morning for that
