Again, I'd like to point out that, at least in my experience, you have no idea who you're playing with. You're role-playing a character with someone else (anonymously) role-playing a character. How has this thread gone 18 pages? Right, but if you graphically depict sexual acts with a minor, regardless of whether or not they're roleplaying as a minor or a 50 year old lady, then you can be held criminally liable. Will you be? Probably not. Is there a chance? You can bet your ass that there is. |

I'm still confused as to how roleplaying a character on a mud where you have mudsex with another roleplayed character on the mud where neither party knows who the other is IRL is wrong, let alone a crime. An adult simulating sexual acts with a minor is illegal. And I'm saying they're playing a CHARACTER and don't know who they're roleplaying the sexual act with. They only know what character they're roleplaying with. |

I keep looking these scenarios up on legal advice forums and the answer seems to consistently be that a person has to have some reason to believe that the user on the other end was a minor in order for prosecution to happen. Thanks makes sense, but the abused child hotline thing I called made it very clear that an investigation could be started and charges of enticement could be pressed. It doesn't take much to spur on one of those things, and of course I told her no, that I was just gathering facts about the law. Again, she claimed that ignorance was no excuse when victimizing children. Malken, nice to see you in full brat mode. If I ever meet you, I'll give you the opportunity to insult my family to my face. I don't think you will, though. |

I must admit it's been a very long time since I was witness to someone's fall into madness live like this.
On a serious note, you should consider going to the ER, sounds like your fever has completely fried your brain.

Breaking my own rule about dropping a thread, but the level of stupid coming off Kronibas is painful.
I called that hotline and I spoke to them and I laid out 3 examples both in MUD, RP chatroom, and MMO (like WoW) and asked some clarifying questions to be sure. They said specifically that it was not child enticement. Is it something else? Maybe? Is Kronibas an idiot that is just spouting whatever supports his rage boner in this thread, yes.
1. RPing sex with a minor (example: Bob ass rapes a 12 year old) <---- Considered Child Enticement
2. RPing sex with the OOC intent of finding a minor partner (example: Bob gives the 50 year old grandma a good time.... OOC: Are you under 18? Yes? Good?) <---- Considered Child Enticement
3. RPing sex, cybering, and even co-operative fanfiction writing are not considered child enticement in an anonymous environment.
So then it becomes do you believe Kronibas or me more? Or do you not care, you shouldn't care because when I finished the call they're like did you want to report something or is that all you were asking? I'm like do you think I should? They're like no.
TLDR - I'm right, Kronibas is wrong, you decide, I'm double dog done.

Yeah, the insanity coming out of Kronibas is both hilarious and scary at the same time. Hilarious because, well, it's happening and scary because you can see that the guy needs some serious help, both mentally and physically.

Well it is just frustrating when all these people are saying that it's legal to simulate sexual acts with minors, and sorry, it's not.
And if some little rich kid like Malken wants to vomit out some faux sympathy in between insulting me and my family, then well, I think it's fair to remind that little twit that he would never, ever speak to me like that in person.
