Stockholm syndrome doesn't work for me, in this case. Basically everyone openly admits that Armageddon is the best MUD on the market. It's not like being in prison, when you could obviously be free. It's not like there's an obvious alternative in the MUD community to turn to, for example. So you either man up and realize that life isn't perfect and take what you can get or you find something else to put your time into. It's basically like an existential crisis. You eventually get over it and find purpose in life or you kill yourself/be a drain on civilization the rest of your life. Not hating on this forum, I think sharing information and critiquing the game is awesome. But if you're running around saying that Arm is the spawn of Satan, etc, then you're just as bad as the bigots on the gdb.

You can call it that, though there's a clear difference between a monopoly and a consensus that one game is better than the rest. If you disagree, that's fine, throw some MUD titles at me.
