But what made me finally quit was something Ness said that made me realize neither he nor Sanvean were even remotely aware of what was going on in the game. between players and storytellers, you had one idea of the game's direction. At the admin level it seemed like a guessing game. but at the producer level (which was called Highlord in my day), the vision was so poorly communicated and (in fact) utterly non-0existent in the game, that I lost all hope that the system could ever be salvaged.

if I ever do out myself, i'll have to go into what Ness stated an opinion on. No part of it was hostile; i was driven mad by the revelation, like people playing Call of Cthulhu for the first time who read a curious book the GM mentions them noticing.
