lurklord having more people play Barons wouldn't change it so that Nadu didn't have all the land and money, thus necessitating by its very dynamic, the kissing of their ass if you want to accomplish anything in the city that's not already part of private property.

Sure it would. Money's worthless if no one's willing or able to sell you anything. Or resorts to commodity trading.
EVERYTHING in Kaiden is player ran. Even the shops. And what gets imported.

Only people want to build things, which requires property, which requires Nadu.
Want a horse? Too bad it's 7k and you can't make that coin anywhere without trading on promises that require extensive ass kissing to deliver on, etc etc.
People want to own things, which requires money, which requires Nadu.
Note: I maintain that a lot of things don't require money, and am right about that, I have a pc who's multiple IC years old who has never traded for anything but barter. But getting others on board with that is not a feasible reality. I've spent RL months trying to convince others to play ball. If you're the only one doing it, it doesn't work.

Humans didn't start in Kaiden until August, I know this because I was playing a dwarf there at the time when they came in. The first humans I interacted with were the Sundown hunting lodge (Riel, Tatsu, Ullr) , then the Kaden brothers (Zach and Thresh), then Avasar (Waden), then Nadu. I know this because I was there. It was in that order. This was all in the matter of a few weeks, the beginning of August, through the beginning of September. To my understanding all of the enclaves own land around their enclave, but not all of them have the means or knowledge on how to construct on it. By the way, you can accuse me of fabricating and lying, but the truth of the matter is, I was playing a dwarf who was being hunted by Kaden brothers not long after my dwarf was being attacked by those Sundowns. Like RL days apart. Not the case. RE the land. The lodge outside Sundown's Enclave? Even though it's on Sundown Way, everything outside it (the actual sundown enclave), even the land along the road itself belongs to Nadu. Funny, right?

As for property, EVERY Baron has the means to construct buildings through laborers and resources.

Yeah, I haven't logged in in weeks. You're right it's out of date.
Show me someone who's made 2k in a different way than the described since none of the shops outside the slums would buy anything except the sundown shop buying foraged food items, last time I was logged in at least?

Don't tell that to the staff members who outright said that sundown didn't, less than 2 RL months ago.

I just want to say please EoE people. Have someone who has eyes fix up your website so it isn't so headache inducing to review. A players first impression of your game is your website and having such horrible formatting on the text portions and such obvious lack of effort is a poor sign to newbies.

But I'm having a hard time believing it did when independents are constructing in the slums.

But I'm having a hard time believing it did when independents are constructing in the slums. New Sundown Baron comes in. Decides to convert the Lodge into a place for Slummers/Orphans to be cared for. Names my pc in charge of it. Immediate message from Alaire, direct quote: "You really need manpower and resources to pull something like this off, something the Sundown enclave simply doesn't have." So not only do they not have the manpower and resources to build NEW buildings, they can't even fix ones they were in charge of. And that's to say nothing of the fact that within weeks it's pointed out that 'oh yeah, also the Lodge isn't yours, you have to pay Nadu for it'.

Okay, you're giving out bad information. There are wandering npcs in the market that do buy craftables by pcs, as well as hunted materials. There is a shop in the slums that does so as well. I easily made over 2k in one trip. Do you even play the same game I do, or are you just making statements based off of your own experience? Have you even looked around? How old are those NPCS? They weren't there weeks ago when I last logged in.

Yeah? That's a good refreshing change of pace, given the RL months where none existed outside the slums.

Are you going to post it or should I?

You can if you want to, the point is you expressed your doubt that it was said, and I was able to produce a direct quote saying it within minutes.

This is the full quote. With the bit that Aniah decided to leave out.
