Status of the other RPIs

This is what I'm dealing with right now.

Yeah been playing on Haven for a bit, definitely have to agree with what's been said, nothing but a bunch of high school drama bullshit. You're either hearing bitching about petty relationship drama or people are using their OOC hate and using it against you ICly. The groups of people who are all friendly oocly and using that ICly where it shouldn't even be, causes so much fluffy bunny bullshit.

I've maybe met a couple other good players who i'll keep in contact but other than that the games a piece of shit.

It's not nit picking, you just said it yourself Haven is no different than Arm :3
Than why would I want to join something that's basically the same thing and stay in that same situation?

There are different types of Drama, it's not all have to be about petty damn shit. Apparently you are the type of person who feeds on the childish drama. People for instance want to RP RAPE and SUICIDE RPs. Yes it's realistic but theres a way to go about it. It's fine to rP too a POINT. But I think some of the points made in even HAVENS Forum applies to A LOT of drama. Quote:

You stalk and pursue other characters/players after people have made it clear for whatever reason that they no longer want to roleplay with you because they don't like the way you're handling sensitive issues. This includes going to other characters or players through tells to rant about it, leaving groups of comments about what terrible people they are on their character page, etc."



If people actually took this too heart and followed it a bit more than MAYBE Haven would be better, but until than it'll be marked as...



Drama Llama Territory.

Nitpicking aside, I don't think it's unrealistic to say that Haven (despite being supernatural themed) is very much like day to day life. You wake up, you grab a coffee, you talk to some people, maybe something supernaturally happens, you talk to some people, you fuck somebody, and you repeat. Unlike ARM which enables self actualization via solo roaming/exploring/murdering people who annoy you... Haven is just that. Day to day life with some ocassional stuff that happens that doesn't disrupt the glassy pond of it's superficial RP.


EDIT - The only time Haven comes alive as comparable or better than ARM (due to freedom of choice versus stuck in an unchangeable RP environment) is when storytellers have good plots that have good participation. Only upside to Haven in my opinion, but as storytellers are unvetted players and Haven is known for excessive (even by ARM standard) ooc cliques it's kind of like picking the goblet at the end of Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade... CHOOSE WISELY!

I keep logs on my computer of my characters for a reason, I believe it was

"You should make Layla more sexual, werewolves are supposed to have animal instinct and make her more interested in sex."

Learn not to dictate other people. There was nothing that ever said that had to be the case :3 So keep 'your idea' of creatures to yourself instead of trying to force it on others.

It's just like how people roleplay half-giants on Arm, they treat them like babies when we all know they aren't children.
