He didn't run the wrong way, he tried to leave through the gate and an HG was guarding it. Then he panicked and bolted back into the city.

That was fantastic to see the other side of Adelade's death. I couldn't believe my luck coming across a Jihaen with just ONE other person, just sitting in the road ripe for the plucking VERY far from any help.
You scared the crap out of me by the way. Appeared out of nowhere in the room and took a couple swipes at me before I even realized what was going on. I was super lucky that we were in a climb room, or I woulda been wrecked. Doesn't look I had even branched wind armor yet, from the looks of it there. That was some ballsy shit on my part, without the wind armor. I was all paranoid you had gotten a look at me and had to go back and reread several times to see whether or not you really had. It seems you didn't.
But yeah, I wasn't whatever dwarf you were talking about - though I think I had a run in with that same dwarf with my whiran. There was a Whiran dwarf that dropped a bahamet on my whiran once (summoned one from a room above I guess? All I know is that one suddenly fell into the room from above me), out in the grasses. I'd only ever see him every now and again in passing, up in the skies. Never did catch up with him. Nor do I know who this Carine was.
I levitated Adel's corpse, picked it up and flew off into the mantis valley with it. Stripped it bare and tossed him in the muck there for the tembo to feast on. That was all probably done well before you had even reached Tuluk. My prized possession from the whole thing was that Jihaen mask he had (I think that's what I managed - you jerks took his robe and staff) which I kept in an invisible trunk in an extremely remote save room. I'd take it out every now and again just to remember that fine day.

Apparently Jihaens can pass through magical walls but he didn't have the ability yet and he couldn't climb. Only in retrospect do I realize that
1 - There should be some means for people to protect someone from ranged attacks even if it's like 25% per person protecting them to prevent that from happening.
2 - I should have pulled out agility spice and started shoving it up his nose to get him up the cliff.

High level warriors can block ranged attacks both with shield use and parry - I've done it personally with both skills. I do believe this extends to someone you're guarding, though I'm not entirely sure.

Ah yeah I was a ranger and I'm pretty sure Whistler was an assassin. Still when a Faithful goes literally all the way to Luirs, you can't like... protect them from themselves.
