Question for Anaiah

How snarky toward players did things get on the staff channels while you were there? Did staff like to watch characters struggle with roleplay or mess up and laugh at them to each other a lot?

It wasn't a joke-y sort of atmosphere. Everyone on staff has a few people they wind up developing apathy/antipathy toward or disagree so strongly with that they grow to dislike. With nyr, it seems the vast amount of players and he's made jabs about certain handicapped players and their handicaps. The kind of things that if someone said on the street about even a stranger, would make you stop and give them the sideeye for it. I had the same, even, and it was nothing personal by any means, as it seems more or less bound to happen. The one who came on and said they played Asami/Wisp/Spirit/etc was one of about three for me, and for me it wasn't so much that they were a horrible player as it was their play was, and is, frankly on a par with most people who have about two karma, they had about six, and I saw them flagrantly breaking rules outright, which only added to the note I left.

As it happens, I was talking about how similar they were and asked a second opinion to be brought in via transfer by nyr to catch them trying to pick up a -bar- to sneak/hide to max their sneak/hide. After that is when they started losing karma. Apparently he saw the note and looked in on the player. They got dropped from 6 to 4 karma, and stopped playing. That they came back after I was off staff and lost more... frankly I would kill to be a fly on the wall that had had a chance to see why and who docked it.
