And we will NEVER get access to all this good stuff, cause, Fuck us, we're just the players and this world is a place for the imms to jerk off to.

Not true, I have had access to all of these. I was only shown a few of them. But, that was another players choice, not some imms.
I'm not even that great a player. But, you do have to create fun for others, and be able to play within the guidelines set up for the system.

This was an interesting read. Only had to play a magicker once to see that you can fuck around way too much. And imm's generally don't like when you do. Mon whiran elementals. Check em out.

A friend of mine played a long lived Irofel and told me that after going through tons of old crap he found mention that the statues in the grasslands, when visited in the correct order, will allow you to become a defiler/Sorc.
Anyone know if this is true or not?

And as a brief aside, alot of this information, and more, is available in-game (many players say that alot of the secrets are locked out of to general player knowledge, which is NOT true). A good majority of the information is written in player-written books, or staff-written and given to player books, some of which are in the library in Allanak. The first time I saw extensive use of the Gith-arch was with a dwarven scribe who had at least 12 of the portal combinations written down in a book that detailed much of the Elemental planes, etc. Completely pointless. Unless you are of Nobility or Templerate you -cannot- use said library. I have asked about this in the past and the response was that commoners are illiterate with only Nobles and/or Templarate being able to read. Also some commoners may have access as well such as those highly trusted by Nobility/Templarate such as Aides or people in high positions within a Clan/House Thing is no its not freely accessible to everyone. Just the elitists of society.

There are no books in the Allanak library. It's all virtual. You do your "research" there by sending requests to staff when you have access to it, and they decide what if anything to give you or tell you.

Not sure if that's how they're doing it now, but in my day, they at least tasked ST's with creating the book that the information came from so that whoever had the book could use it as a prop/horde the info/have it be stolen/etc.

Yeah. I could correct a lot of it, but at the same time... I don't -want- to broadcast a bunch of secrets (actual secrets) without someone asking me about them. Anyone who wants to send me a message with a question about stuff I know about, I'm glad to share, but a lot of more 'secret' things, I'd rather not be the one doing the outing, as it'd be counterproductive to my aims (which are mostly just to try and set the record straight on misconceptions regarding staff and what players I can) and to try and show some level of transparency that is lacking on the official channels for player/staff communications, as well as a level of accountability.

I heard the statues in the grasslands can somehow be used to focus a teleport. Any info on that?

To focus a teleport? If they have the prerequisite runes and you have the ability to read them, any item can be teleported to, but I don't recall whether or not they have them.

What runes are these exactly? What skill is needed to read them? Are the markings on that arch in the tablelands related to them? Bonus question: What is that funny word that shows up on the pillar on the red silt road if you have detect magick on?

She's referring to the spell create rune, which allows whirans and sorcerors to create a rune that they can then teleport to.
When I had my old whiran it was fun to hop across the world.
Infinitely more fun as a nilazi/scavenger. Marked a ton of things and remembered them based on their relation to the area I could jump to, e.g. an ishra flower for the top of the spire in the Xytrix Za mountains.
