So, is there any variation in the rate at which thirst is gained? Not thirsty -> little thirsty, little thirsty -> thirsty etc... storms etc.... food/drink types?
Also, same again for hunger?

I'm pretty sure certain spicy foods can make you thirsty faster, example: spicy green spider jerky. Not completely sure, but I feel like there are rooms in the North that can make you thirsty faster too from looking at the room descriptions. I know somebody that plays around with the system or more frequently would know better than I would.

I think she's saying that from reading the room descriptions, she thinks these rooms are considered warmer/more taxing on a person, and so have a higher thirst generation. Not that reading the descs magically makes you thirstier.

Such as sticking around the northern volcano or hanging around the lava pools in the scoria plains in the south.

I've played rangers since my first day when Harcroft taunt me how to type <look east> From my experience I can say certain rooms will dehydrate you faster, certain foods will dehydrate you (If it is Kuraci made, it's likely going to dehydrate you XD ) Walking around with your hood down outside will dehydrate you faster.
Also yes, certain sources of water will hydrate you faster then others. Muddy water is not as good as well water, which does not compare to viv's water.

And don't drink the salt water from the pool in the far east of the salt flats.

The key I think is to look at where you are and what you're about to ingest. If the room desc is saying its super hot, chances are your thirst is ticking faster than normal. The reason I brought up the north is because that is where I first had the thought that it was happening, that and I tanked up on water before I left Tuluk. With the foods, well I think munching on a pepper described as very spicy has a similar effect, but it could just be an echo, that your mouth is burning for RP purposes.

I think being Krath struck drives up your thirst level a lot faster.

To become Krath Struck, you already have to be thirsty though.

There's also a krath spell that makes you thirstier when you drink normal water. Good first spell to cast on loners you run into since they are gonna run away and try to drink water eventually... lol
