One of the very first stickies of these forums advices participants of these forums not to identify themselves. Plenty of people did and they were fine. They skirted between using the cheaters board, discussing pertinent topics without actually cheating themselves. And that's fine.

A player decided to cheat a little. And you know what? I don't have a problem with that. He asked for information another veteran player would know from past experience and it's unfair to that player to be shorted on that information. Was it less fun for him to use the cheating route instead of finding IC? Yes. But honestly, whatever. Not a huge deal. Amos boots answered his question perfectly and I personally have no problem with it. Even a bit of a golf clap.

Unfortunately, that player made a mistake. Unknowingly he revealed himself by asking that question. Any non asshole person would warn him. And so I did exactly that. Granted I screwed up doing it, but I corrected that as soon as I noticed. Jkarr told me about it. And sure he cussed around and tossed some potshots at me, but in the end, his motivations were not asshole in essence. I got nothing but cordial respect for Jkarrs actions. We might differ wildly in our views and opinions, but he's not throwing an innocent under the bus for the sake of a potshot. The moment I fixed my quote, he fixed his. Boom. Done. The player also edited his post. Everything would've been fine. I would've moved on to more constructive things

Except that didn't happen. It didn't happen because of you, mehtastic. You have failed to step over your spite, your hatred, your assholeness to benefit, or at the very least refrain from harming a person who did nothing to you. You had no beef with him, no argument, he didn't have an opinion opposing yours, a complete bystander. And you have elected to let him burn just to bask in your own vileness.

You know all of these people who think staff are out to get them? Always twisting their actions into a negative way? Choosing to fuck with the player they don't like, even if those players are awesome and bring a lot of good to the game. You know those types of staff? Well. The personality archetype of these staff are exactly like yours, Mehtastic. If you made staff, that is the type of staff you would be. Someone who would fail to step over their own bias, their own dislike, their own spitefulnes, at the price of other people's suffering.

You can try to color it however you like. Shining light on secrets! Helping people lose their addiction! Pfftth.

You just hate, Mehtastic. And you are okey with other people suffering for the sake of your own hate.

Staff are apparently okay with making players suffer for asking a simple question though. And the moment you saw lefloid's post was the moment staff knew that there was someone posting on a "cheater board". We don't need to discuss why I know that; I'm not enough of an asshole to burn my sources. But I'll let you and everyone else reading this thread think about it a bit.

If you legitimately wanted to warn him, as a concerned player fearing for staff's retribution against an innocent player, you would have PMed him. Instead you decided to publicly menace him, and in turn menace anyone else thinking about asking a question here.

Again, go fuck yourself. You're projecting your hatred for this forum, a simple forum about discussing a game that the staff don't seem to want its own players to talk about in any way, onto me. I help people quit Armageddon by helping them realize their relationship with staff will always inevitably lead to a place where staff and their player goons threaten them and abuse their trust. Thank you for proving my point with your posts in this thread.

It's relevant because you of all people would be intensely aware that you're posting IC info here. You chose to preserve it yourself and leave it up on the forum until someone decided to call you out on it. If you had good intentions and were genuinely concerned about staff retribution, you would've PMed lefloid and it would have been gone in 20 minutes. But you're not genuine; you preserved the evidence for half a day and decided to publicly threaten anyone that decides to post information here, on behalf of the staff. I purposely refuse to censor myself based on your weak attempt at a threat. The only standing evidence staff has that lefloid asked any question at all is in my post, and that would require staff to believe my quote is genuine and that I didn't edit in the question myself if they want to punish lefloid. And since the code is leaked, not only has lefloid's alleged question been answered, so has any question about any magical effect. Also the fact that there's still an Elkrosian is out there and I guess that chaps your ass the most, for reasons which I'm sure aren't related to your PC or your friends' PCs, since your concern here has been so genuine and selfless over the years.
