It's a game guys. It ain't a big deal. I'm just defending my favorite hobby because someone said something I disagreed with. Whether it's the type of a cloud, or the details of the civil war, if I disagree and feel like I know what I'm talking about, I will continue arguing my position until the day I die, that's just how and who I am. It's not because something is a big deal, it's because it is a part of my personality. I'm a stubborn to a fault, loyal as hell person. Not sorry, though I do wish to clarify that something doesn't have to be a 'big deal' to warrant said response from me. If I disagree with someone, they have to prove me wrong if they want my mind to change, I'm sure most people are like that. I just happen to be so stubborn that I will gladly continue arguing pretty much any position I have until the other person tires of it, though I will do my damnedest to remain civil and polite about it until I'm cussed or insulted or I snap. It's nothing personal against the person I'm arguing with, and I can like the hell out of them while doing so and even marry them while doing so, but it's not going to necessarily change my stance on whatever the thing in question is. |

It would make me agree with the notion that there are areas that pk would appear to be a problem, but it would not make me agree that the whole mud was like that, no. Because all the proof I have of what the mud is like is counter to it. But then... I've already conceded that he might be having a problem with that in the slums or as a dwarf, because I haven't been playing in those areas.  I mean... I had access to a list of everyone in the human settlement who'd broken the law in any law abiding places, and there is/was a total of 1 person on it, which in and of itself is a pretty fair commentary on the overall state of things (again, I concede that things localized to other places not covered by that list, I'm willing to take him at his word on assertions of). |

Ugh. I'd rather have 2 people playing, than have 50 people playing and 4 people running around doing that. That said... I wish you luck. If that's how you plan to play it, you'll likely need it, because doing that's a way to turn all the pcs against you in a hot minute. And some have been around 5 rl years.

Thing is, I dont have an opinion of if he was wrong or not. i just saw this conversation going in circles because his description of events was so generic nobody could even tell if they were talking about the same thing. it's entirely possible he's right but it's impossible to tell because the details are, "Some guy attacked someone in a place. I think he was a tool ooc." I jumped in again when he tried to do the "you're all just as bad as the gdb" bullshit, which is the go to "you're just as bad as they are" equivalence people use on here when they're feeling emo and tired of making no headway in an argument. He didnt even sell it well; i figured if he was going to do the old hypocrite-handwave, he could at least make a real attempt to justify it. People arent disagreeing with nyrsucks because they're white knighting SEOE. they're disagreeing because his description is so fucking vague they all think the incident is one they already know contrary details to. And when they can't make the connection to an incident they don;t know the details of and can't ask the details of (because there's absolutely nothing to narrow it down to specific players), they have to go off their experiences in the game. the lesson here? Give specific fucking details if youre going to attempt to use an event to support a contrary opinion. |

I didn't like that part either, mostly because I don't want to be lumped in with you guys.  I also didn't accuse you of white knighting anything. I just think this entire thread is...lol? More likely cringe-worthy, methinks. |

Take notes on how to EoE does RPTs, Armageddon.
Quality writing, Johnny on the spot staff response to player initiative and direction and a body count that makes the last HRPT look like a pillow fight.
A+, would go insane and die horribly again.
