But I don't play that one since I got cussed out on the forum for asking where everybody was (when really I just wanted you know...play with people) by one of the owners. That was pretty much it for me and I was playing a sponsored role....pretty much alone. Funk 'em. |

I am wanting to make a human, myself. Just really not wanting to be blue skinned or an elf was kinda what turned me off it. I love to play my humans, I do.

This happend years ago, and it used to be up on their message board. Of course my post was taken down, but the wife's post was stickied. Basically, what happend was I app'd a role in one city the main city (that no one plays in), and I kept seeing there were a lot of people on, but never a soul. So I asked on the board, where was everybody, I was kinda bored (not knowing everybody else was playing in the other city). The wife totally flamed me, like it's not their job to entertain players, blah, blah, blah, she's not going to dance around with a flaming bra. I remember the flaming bra part because I was like wtf? All I wanted to know was where was everybody because I'm not a solo rper, even the role I app'd was very social, what's the point? I even remember some player responses were to the effect of "we're sitting in chat laughing", sound familiar? Sounded like a little clique of players to me. I've said this before. Usually as staff, they're both great, they'll animate or RP with you no problem and that's fucking awesome. The husband Jazet is especially awesome and he would always shoot me emails about concepts he thought I'd be interested in and I played a few more characters, because of him. But at the end of the day I felt like I was in somebody's little sandbox and had no idea what the fuck was really going on, because let's face it the docs aren't very good and the world is a lot different than what the docs say. I'm pretty sure stuff like that doesn't happen anymore or is very rare, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. It was the beginning of my deciding, I'm not going to log on to a mud and solo RP, that's not what I RP for. |

If the shoutbox is to be believed, they've expanded the game to include humans. Is this true?
Are the human lands the same industrious ones from the last game (is it the same game or a different game from The Four Lands?), or has that been replaced with something entirely different? The website doesn't seem to be working and just defaults me to a locked down forum.
I've been completely disinterested in creating another character on SoI, what with the orc sphere being a bizarre stew of various orc cultures from different fantasy themes and the human sphere... we won't talk about the human sphere. It seems like a good time to see what EoE has to offer, provided there are options beyond scantily clad nympho elves available.

So I just discovered they've been working on updating the website and have but the nameservers haven't updated the alias or something for the domain. So you have to type www.eoemud.com to get to the website and if you just put eoemud.com it redirects to the forums. An easy fix that I already informed them about. |

thank god, their old website was awful. New one looks way better. For magic classes, is Diabolist just direct damage, Guardian the buff spells (stoneskin, etc) class, and Shaman the healer?

I could be wrong but I'm thinking diabolist is the old Steinmen class which is a mix of offensive spells and debuffs, guardian is the old Durin class which are buffs and shaman is pretty much like a vividuan. I wonder do they still have the color coding for when you cast certain spells? I think it went: white glow (shaman), blue glow (Durin), red glow (Steinmen) and green (goblin). |
