Anyone know how much stamina a d-elf drains normally while running in the desert? What about on roads?

Isn't 4-6 stamina drain what a naked human walking in the wilderness gets and 2--3 on roads? That doesn't sound like that much of an improvement then again they are running I guess.

That doesn't sound like that much of an improvement until you see dem movement points

Incorrect. You only lose 2 stamina points on roads as a desert elf if you're walking. Stamina drain for d-elves on actual roads is only one stamina point. The drain off-road varies depending on the area in which you are running. Badlands in the Pah is around 4, 2 in grasslands IIRC and 2-4 in sandy areas around Red Deserts. Salt flats is 4 minimum.

That doesn't sound like that much of an improvement While not realistic, you can run from the southern end of the Pah, read: the Shield Wall to deep into the Grey Forest before needing to rest. That's FAR. Desert camo and limiting your encumbrance guarantees at least 200+ stamina. I can't remember Zul's max MVS pool but I believe it was the high 220s, low 230s if I used certain boots.

It takes more stamina for them to walk than run. also takes 5 stamina to sneak.

Delven mobility is also influenced by the speed with which they're regenerating that stamina, which is very very very fast. So yeah, while no sane Delf would run from the bottom of the Pah to the Grey Forest in one single run. The rests in between they would need to take to keep their stamina in high levels, would be 'very' short.
Overral, a Delf without any stamina increasing gear has roughly 120-130 stamina. The stamina increasing gear can put it to 200s, but it could bring a human's stam to 180s just as easily too. It's the speed the delves recuperate that stamina that changes things.

120-130 is everybody else. D-elves get a natural +40 stamina modifier regardless of endurance. A d-elf with ai ednurance can get around 180-185 stamina. 240 with items

People were complaining about d-elves stamina bonuses being removed in the GDB but that was back around 2003.

At one time you used to be able to get 400+ mvs with a d.elf, though it was considered "double dipping" if I remember the phrase used by one immortal. It was essentially halved, yeah.
