I'd like for all of Tuluk to get retconned. Lord knows they've no problem erasing everything else from existence that doesn't go along with their vision of the game.

I split off the derail I made. My bad, I should have known better than to discuss non-spoiler stuff in a spoiler thread. In keeping with my policies of no consequencies for whoopsies, I shall suffer no consequence.

It was never explained to me why they had to be female, only that Lirathans are female, they are -all- psionicists, and that they have been known (amongst themselves, mostly) to recruit outside the nobility for it when they come across a female child who had the abilities, provided they were found young enough. The fact that they have to be female, and even the female/male division of protections, did not strike me as particularly sexist. What did strike me as a major double standard, though, is that it's pretty well unheard of for the Jihaens to recruit outside the nobility. Which in a way does make sense, as their powers aren't innate, as Lirathans powers are, but even still... meh. It's about like when they retconned lensed sunslits. There doesn't really need to be an IC explanation. Though I'd think they'd at least do a bit better than that with the one they chose to go with. Funnily enough, perhaps, more than once, it was discussed that if Terissa had been 5-6 instead of as old as she was, she may well have been slated to join the Sisterhood. The Lirathans have a lot of interesting story around how they are trained and initiated, but as 'history' goes, it's oft lacking in the documentation department, as with many other factions in Zalanthas. Has there ever been any staff canon on what happens to young male mindbenders? Or if a Jihean developed mindbending?

Wait...the Lirathans are gone now? Haven't played since October, got banned when I told Nyr to fuck off on the GDB. I'm way out of the loop. This is amusing to me.

I think the changes are happening very slowly. There's a thread in GDB requesting submissions for mdescs of new Tuluki Templar Gear and stuff. So announcement's made, but the final touches code/write wise are not yet done.

I don't think it's such a bad thing that the staff are giving players an opportunity to be a part of the creative process.
I also don't think it's such a bad thing that things are changing. Keeps the stagnation at bay.

It's not about being lazy. I could write everything up myself but it's about taking in players submissions and picking the best ones. If I don't have to do it I won't as staff it gives me more time to do other more important things like building rooms, areas, or DMing.
