i'm pretty sure a good number of new players have stumbled on these boards thinking they're the arm ones. i've gotten a couple of requests to be added to the t'zai byn forums, etc lol.

So you, elf, will have no coded tribe.
You may have a virtual tribe.
You may not ever allow any other elf pcs to join this virtual tribe. Ever. Even if you are the only remaining one in it.
Because tribe implies too much trust. Even though tribe is supposed to be integral to your roleplay.
Actually, yes, now that you ask, you WERE allowed to do this until 2010.
What happened in 2010, you ask? Well, a small group of players formed a tribe (all IC), and then wheeled, dealed, bribed, and corrupted their way to being untouchable.
What do you mean what's wrong with that? Well... we're not coding their tribe for them. And we don't like how it fits with the game world *unlike the Akai Sjir's northern famous mason elves. Which totally fit. I mean fit tighter than a dorf cock stuffed in a halfling slit.
How is it unfair that you can't make a tribe, have you even been listening? We must control. We'll lose players over it (we have, even, though interestingly after 3-4 RL years the player of Bryl, the Al'Sahni, will supposedly log in on occasion again now).
Yeah, but totally, we want to rule out a Klestion situation. Even though everyone that wound up a part of things met and everything there happened IC and there's clear evidence that none of it was OOC communication based.
Ah, well, fuck elves anyhow. Without this restriction in place, how would we possibly control all tribes?

Welcome to Armageddon! Simulated laissez-faire capitalism in-game, actualized socialism the rest of the way up!

Ahh yes, Klestion Goodness Not really a valid comparison when all of the clan/tribe related shit from meeting to joining and everything else happens in game and doesn't involve anyone pre applying anywhere with anything in their background about anything like that. Unless your thought was totally unrelated and meant to be.

Unless your thought was totally unrelated and meant to be. I was just remembering the interesting time I spent with them.

I've only ever heard that the second one died there was another one and they were all supposed to be part of the same family. No one has even had any stories about them beyond that which they've deigned to share. I'd love to hear some though.

But, but, but....there's *things* happening behind the scenes. Goes to play in theatre. Sits there, watches. Is a man on a bench talking about shoes for five hours. Turn to guy next to me. "I thought this was a play about murder, corruption and betrayal?" Man turns to me with vacant eyes with no whites in them. "It's all behind the sceeeeeeeennnnnneeees...." I wake up screaming. This is muh nyr-mare

Ever had a shitty character, that had the worst stats on the planet and was for the most part fucking useless. You know you have to kill them off, but you don't want to because you're having so much fun playing them and so is everybody else you play with?

Yeap.. and I've also had the uber-tank mega-stat PC that was just so boring that you knew you had to kill them off, but just couldn't because you could solo things that no one ever should, and had all this totally snap gear, and it just felt like a waste.
