Yesterday the game said good bye to one of the most long lived and powerful characters because staff hate the person who played him.
It is so fucking typical. The staff will ignore you if you ask them to animate a bartender or shopkeep because you're bored. Or an NPC in the clan because you're alone and want to spar. But tell them you're hunting meks? All of a sudden they step on each other's dicks to get the chance to animate.
Eating mounts is insane bullshit. Whoever thought that was a good idea is the most fucking retarded programmer the game has ever had. And the staff doing in manually with their meks knowing that it will lead to pc death should be against staff rules.
They know I can't whine about it on the GDB and Discord because their pussy ass mods got their fee-fees hurt so here I am now.
The staff are just dumb as rocks. I put in a desc change request a week ago, they changed my sdesc, I still have my old keywords from my old sdesc and my new keywords.
Bullshit ass game. I only apped a new character to make up an excuse to PK Arion and his bard harem for reporting me for sexism, which was a bullshit report btw.

I was upset when my last PC was killed in a BS way but the feeling is different now that I look back on it. I'm glad it happened because it gave me the push I needed to quit playing. There's more shady and nefarious things that happen on Arm than just staff PKs. Getting out of all of it is ultimately good.

This post is sus. Do the kids still say sus? It reads like Cerelum whose character died attacking a mekillot. But Cerelum's usual M.O. is to just roll with all the shit the game throws at him because deep beneath that rough, uninviting exterior he loves the game, despite having every reason not to. I would guess someone who doesn't like him and witnessed his character's death wrote this to either try to get him in trouble or to embarrass him somehow. There is a player in Cerelum's old clan that did something similar previously in another game, in fact. I will vaguebook about that because I dislike helping the staff for free.

Contrary to popular belief amongst GDBers and staff, this forum isn't some tight-knit group of likeminded saboteurs. It's a random hodgepodge of people with wildly varying motivations. We've had everything from respected people with legitimate grievances, like Delirium, to total lunatics like Ibusoe and qwerty. As such, when someone comes here to make wild claims without any specifics or evidence - and especially when it's an anonymous new user's first post - it's not necessarily going to be taken seriously. Especially if it sounds questionable. This is one of those occasions.

Give us more juice. Let us be the judge. But if it's about someone crying for getting killed by a Mek, here's my 2 sids:
A grown up mek is akin to a Sauropod which weight 70 to 100 tons. It's 1,000 times heavier than you. If I'm exaggerating take 1/10 of it, it's still 100 times heavier than you. That is why to hunt it a RPT of 10+ players are required. I hated back in my time when I see characters boasting about killing or fighting a mek. What you do is you label yourself as an Imbecile. Best think you can do is suicide, reroll and clear your name from such a shameful bragging.

Why are you vaguebooking even here? Right? As if staff who read this forum can't add 'killed by mek' and 'complaint about sexual harassment' together to identify the player account. At that point, why even bother with the vaguebook? I feel pretty clickbaited right now. I'd be legit curious if staff was up to their old tricks, but this doesn't feel particularly credible at this point. OP, if you got so shafted by staff, drop actual details, maybe with logs, and then find something else to do with your time my dude. It'll be healthier than throwing your time into some declared OOC intent to kill a PC that'll probably get resurrected now that you've revealed your Nefarious Master Plan. |

Okay, so first of all, This is Cerelum/Pariah from the GDB, I don't even care if you know. This was my character they are describing, though it was a shitty attempt to get me in trouble more than the truth. 1. I died because I fucked up and attacked the wrong mek, realized it after I got instagibbed, staff had nothing to do with it, could have happened anytime, I was mad at myself for about fifteen minutes then I went Meh and created a new character. 2. While I do think that their mods aren't really the greatest and have too much power over discord/gdb, I do get why they have them, staff doesn't wanna spend time policing these ooc methods of communication and these guys volunteered. If anything I'd say the Mods need more overview and less immediate power to ban you. 3. I actually was impressed that they were attacking mounts, figured it was realistic, the meks trying to eat shit, a beetle is more food than a human. 4. I asked about the old keyword thing with staff via a wish, plus any player could have gone tell oldkeyword and saw it still linked to me, why you think I'd be pissed about that is beyond me. I simply wished asking if it was a mistake. The whole premise this guy/girl made in this post "trying" to get me in trouble is that I was upset I died, one of the things I pointed out to staff as this post was brought up is that I've never really been the freak out over a death guy, unless it's something stupid like the climb code insta-knockout, I'll hate that till the day I die. Also, long lived, sure, powerful? HAH! I normally wouldn't even get this much into my characters this soon, but I'm just trying to clear my name here a little bit. Am I an asshole from time to time? 100%. Am I banned from GDB and Discord because I like to get into arguements and tell some of them they are idiots without telling them they are idiots and get them all mad? 100%. But over the years of playing this game I've made one thing abundantly clear to staff, if I have a problem I won't hesitate to toss a complaint in. If I was as upset as this fake me tried to make me seem, they would have had a request in their system fast as fuck and they know that. I mean, I'm sorta flattered that someone put this much effort into trying to get me in trouble, but really you should get another hobby. |

I mentioned as much to staff and they are probably looking into it. But even if it was staffer X who doesn't like me, what I assume happened is they talked to their buddy who then spread it. Shit like this is why I'm sorta glad I don't associate with anyone really out of character. Even if it was a staffer who saw that wish and me die, and they attempted this, being able to prove it is probably damn near impossible. I didn't tell anyone icly or oocly about the keyword, but they simply could have done look old-keyword and saw it was still there. |

Something about this game breaks people's brains. There's always been a few people that play the underhanded OOC game, but I guess some of them got rusty during the temporary closure. Between gangbanging Arion to death and this post, there are some very angry but stupid people playing Arm.
