Aren't the other communities either dead (SoI) or full of fluffy virtual sex fiends?
Though, I don't think HL has this problem, as an RPI w/ similar playerbase. Or its underground or not on my radar.

Harshlands is probably the next biggest RPI, and doesn't have that problem at all. Its rules on sexual RP is similar to Armageddon's, so maybe Harshlands just has a healthier community? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Arx has a robust set of rules on the matter, generally forbids public displays of sex since it's considered taboo by the IC culture, and publicizes its bans, so there is an element of public shame for rulebreakers and accountability for staff there that generally seems to keep the community healthy, too.

PCs can be apped as young as 10, within the standard character approval process on HL.

Ironically, Kronibas has been playing the game since all these conversations. I dont know if right now, but definitely across the last few years. I haven’t played in right at a year (since November 2018), mostly because I’ve been living in a fucking yurt way out in the Rocky Mountains without a computer and working a lot. I gotta admit that I still read these forums pretty regularly because, well, I spent a lot of my fucking time thinking about this game. Now that I have some distance and my shit together a little bit better, I would still maintain that tons of bogus shit went down which entirely justified a lot of the discussions that have happened. Dialogue is helpful, right? Personally, I feel like that’s the way to go. I hope people continue putting their energy into that sorta deal because, if it’s true that fake accounts are being made merely for slander’s sake, well... i just don’t think that’s the best way to skin this cat. |
