FYI at the end of Dargan's career, his stats had deteriorated so badly due to old age he was but a shade of his former self in his prime. I won the Kuraci Pit fights with Dargan once and then the next time they held them, Meso KO'd me in one hit after I barely squeaked a win out of two of the other dwarves in Meso's unit. Don't forget Abuzer either. Love him or hate the twinking, he was a brutal warrior.
I remember my toon used to beat up Dargan in training, he hated me.

Baker was nauta and was a pickpocket. He mostly plays those, and had master cook to mastercraft rat pies. Their rp is fairly obvious and they always play female characters, I think their second one was some ginger salarr girl Lume or something?
I quite liked a few characters over the years, to name a few Sergeant Sefaj Blackbolt (I think?) Albie, Agron (?) (Salarr dwarf), Armalie in her earlier days, that Arm of the Dragon assassin lady whose name I completely forget but enjoyed, and more recently Drazen ( I think, Tuluki celf?), that templar who stored in Allanak, some female one, that mute tribal girl in the Byn whose name I forget aswell, and Sergeant Rush. Haven't played in quite a while myself, last role I actually enjoyed was a Byn elf who was surprisingly robust (Mercenary Gentle). I also managed to get a pet lizard into the Byn which became part of the game world (permanent) and can be seen in the store room (Sergeant Hissy, thank you Akariel, you rock) Sorry whoever that mul Dust Runner in the Rinth was, I killed you in a rather anticlimactic way and you seemed super fun to interact with despite not having directly had any contact with you outside your death. Feel pretty bad about that one, I somehow feel like you left the game after.
sneazy: Started playing with ArmSolo again. Mapping the zones against newer maps and chasm area mostly looks good. If anyone else is using it, I will make a thread and post results. Else, I'll keep doing my own thang.

mehtastic: Hi everyone. Back for a bit to catch up on how things have been and talk about Arm with a less angry and more mellow voice. Hope y'all have been doing well.

mehtastic: Haha. We actually agree more than we disagree, but I'm down to discuss the benefits and drawbacks of multiplaying in general.

thesandlady: Are the days of 250 unique logins a week long gone, or is there a chance Arm could get back to it's old numbers?

mehtastic: thesandlady I think those days are long gone at this point. People will say it's because MUDs in general are on the decline, but there are a few text based games that see slight growth. Arm's problems hold it back from player recruitment and retention.

delerak: arm can get the numbers back up. you need good leaders running clans for one which it seems arm is lacking right now.

mehtastic: Well, that's partly why I said Armageddon can't get back the 250+ weekly logins days that it used to have: because Armageddon lacks good leaders. I would argue that staff actively suppress leadership and don't give players ways to grow into such roles.
