Banned one staff member today, I'm sure there's more that I have missed.
I know, I know; it's shocking that the people who have spent weeks of their lives moderating eye-opening internet threads like 'Sexual taboos in Zalanthas' have nothing better to do than monitor websites that discuss their game I couldn't believe it either so here's some tips on how not to lose your character or karma
1)Don't post identifying information or information that can be linked to you 2)Periodically make a new account - you can use the same e-mail address so you don't have to worry about throw-away e-mail 3)If you really feel like causing trouble, pretend to be another PC or GDBer.
Above all though, do not ever underestimate the amount of pent-up aggression that the mid-forties computer janitors who run this game have. They literally do not grasp the meaning of 'perspective' or 'taking a 1990s internet roleplaying game too seriously'.
Technically it didn't. I created one of the first boards other than the official forums and called it "Armageddon Cheaters Discussion Board' lol. They found it and nipped it in the bud pretty quick. We all posted under our real names though and we all got a slap on the wrist for it. I took the board down after about 3 weeks. A lot of good info was on there though. I remember moontug posting that if you sleep before you fight you do better and if you eat to full and drink to full it helps you in combat.

Its fucking pathetic how they still try their damnedest to try and control access to information about their game. Seriously, its the year 2013, thirteen years after the millennium, we're in the information age, and you're still trying to control knowledge of a fucking game?
This is just like that faggot that tried to deface every page on the wiki. They're so stuck in the past that it never struck them that during the time between Armageddon's conception and the present there have been safety nets put into place to prevent the destruction of information. Hey, BecauseItsABigStupidJellyfish, you're a big stupid idiot if you think it takes more than half a second to press the "revert change" link for the page you went to deface. gg no re.
Actually it is, only fedora-wearing politically correct dorks moan and complain over the use of language that they dont deem to be pc. He didn't use it in a derogatory manner towards homosexuals, at all. If someone is acting like a fag, call them a fag. This is the real world, over here on this forum. It has nothing to do with gay people.

sneazy: Started playing with ArmSolo again. Mapping the zones against newer maps and chasm area mostly looks good. If anyone else is using it, I will make a thread and post results. Else, I'll keep doing my own thang.

mehtastic: Hi everyone. Back for a bit to catch up on how things have been and talk about Arm with a less angry and more mellow voice. Hope y'all have been doing well.

delerak: gonna hijack your thread to start a fight..

mehtastic: Haha. We actually agree more than we disagree, but I'm down to discuss the benefits and drawbacks of multiplaying in general.

thesandlady: Are the days of 250 unique logins a week long gone, or is there a chance Arm could get back to it's old numbers?
Jul 12, 2019 13:05:29 GMT -5
mehtastic: thesandlady I think those days are long gone at this point. People will say it's because MUDs in general are on the decline, but there are a few text based games that see slight growth. Arm's problems hold it back from player recruitment and retention.
Jul 13, 2019 13:23:07 GMT -5
delerak: arm can get the numbers back up. you need good leaders running clans for one which it seems arm is lacking right now.
Jul 24, 2019 11:52:44 GMT -5
mehtastic: Well, that's partly why I said Armageddon can't get back the 250+ weekly logins days that it used to have: because Armageddon lacks good leaders. I would argue that staff actively suppress leadership and don't give players ways to grow into such roles.

dunebum: Armageddon needs strong storytellers aka Dungeon Masters. Without them breathing life into the world and not just responding to fucking character reports, the game is static and boring. Player led storylines suck ass.
Aug 21, 2019 22:16:51 GMT -5
dunebum: Would you want to play a game of D&D where the Dungeon Master sat back and let the players do all the work? Fuck no. The admins have forgotten the face of their fathers.
