If you could change one thing about any clan what would it be? It could be something in the docs, it could be how it's organized, etc.
For me it would be how some clans don't have leadership roles off peak. It could be a chicken or the egg type thing, but if you play off peak you're kind of screwed and it's been like this for a looong time.

I'd mash the GMHs into one GMH, and make Luir's the GMH capital. I would keep the same number of Agents/Family Members/etc. but it would help make things flow a bit more easily, you could have a GMH off-peak agent, a GMH peak agent, and then a random agent (and you'd advertise for them that way. Staff posting - Off-Peak player, must be available between x and y GMT). Then the Fist or whatever you call the GMH army/hunters would be populated, and it would be pretty awesome.

I would have the human shadow artists raise up and work together to wipe out the Akai Sjir for taking all the good TULUKI work from humans.
They just don't fit with the rest of the game world's representation so much so that a single change other than this one would only cause more things to need to change.

The Sun Legion gives its mundane lifesworns something unique to fight magick
Human tribes stop encouraging their women to sleep around abroad(seriously, the fuck?)
The Akai stop looking up to the templarate, as that has always sounded wildly un-elven to me
AoD clannies stop receiving pay. Extortion it yerself.
The bardic circles get actual documentation for people to build characters and stories upon.
House Tenneshi gets switched to another House. Tenneshi's niche is not suited to PC activity.
The Soh get over themselves and can run around wherever they want.
The gmh start having overlapping interests more, encouraging competition.

I didn't point that out or actually say it, but it'd be a REALLY neat change, and I've had a dozen different ideas on how I'd do it if I ever became staff (lol) which I wouldn't do now, even if I did get on, because it'd out me. But, it would really make a lot of sense with the way the playerbase is going, and it'd give GMHs some internal politics and more RP/interaction. I also agree with the idea of AoD and Sun Legion working more for extortion than actual pay. That'd be badass. Also, the SLK being allowed to go wherever sounds awesome and it'd bring more to the gam world. And seriously, fuck the Akai they're idiotic insofaras elves go, and that's even having read the documentation that leads to them being Templar worshipping rubes. Why is Tuluk encouraging this? It makes literally no sense. |

I would try to make the militia a bit more forgiving on races. I think it's ludicrous that templars couldn't outright hire whoever the fuck they want into their respective units that they are running regardless of race. I think the racism thing is really silly when you think about it. Of course you can say it exists but the extent that Arm takes it, it becomes comical and unrealistic in my opinion.

If I will ever be allowed to play a templar, I am hiring a celf as a patsy. Same reason some Roman emperors hired Germanic bodyguards; it'd not be as easy to politically influence them.

While I'm definitely of the mindset that you don't want to hire, say, elves, into a GMH because of their tendencies, this makes a lot more sense. I don't see any reason a militia shouldn't be using them as expendable meat shields who are cheaper than humans and not worth as much to society at large. By all means, put them in their own unit if you want to encourage a feel of segregation, or keep the cap to private, etc, but to be totally unable to do it is silly. |

Allow every initiated member of the Guild to use the clan boards-- 'cause let's be real here. They expect Guild leaders to organize -everything- in-game.
Do you know what herding cats is like? Because it's pretty much just like that.
And make it more true to the docs. Few things chap my ass like a southern-born Allanaki winding up being the head honcho in the Folly. Seriously, you expect a bunch of lower-than-shit thugs and lowlifes to listen to a southsider? I can understand hiring non-rinthis to keep shit on lock elsewhere in the world, but there definitely should be a divide between city-born and alley-born. Hell, a west-sider would sooner trust an east-sider over pretty much anyone else in the Known, however uneasy and unstable that trust may be.
Most of the time, playing in The Guild feels like a game of cops and robbers where the cops outnumber the bad guys 100 to 1, and they expect the criminals to make do with pointy sticks and bad attitude against full riot gear and maybe even a tank or three.
And that's even when bribes are thrown around like parade beads on Mardi Gras.
Don't get me wrong, I've had some success in the position before a number of times, but it's just so damn much work to make it worthwhile, only to have everything ruined by a wild templar pet psionist or drovian.
Few things are as disheartening and "fuck this part of the game" as logging in to find all but two of your badass seven-man crew wiped out because some backstab-happy outsider thought he could get some fat loot or through the efforts of the templarate and militia.
I had some actual suggestions somewhere, but they're gone now.

They were a fucking underling's underlings who were still horrendous nubcakes who thought it was cool to run around killing 'Rinthi NPCs-- and knew absolutely nothing of anything at all.

I've often felt the Guild should really be more of the Gan Zein Marketplace, with PCs. If you need -anything-, and you don't care the cost, you go to the Guild. Spice? Sure. Poisoned weapons? We know about 'em. Someone banging your favorite whore and taking up all her time? Well, I bet we know a way to make sure that doesn't happen again. Unfortunately, I've played before where angry magickers just spam earthquake outside the Folley (and get away with it), underlings spam backstab on westsiders because its "easy", and angry Templars that want to stamp out all crime, because they're bored. |

angry magickers just spam earthquake outside the Folley (and get away with it), Dude got karma docked for that. And later that is why I felt no qualms about that specific pc (grell the ruddy dwarf) being the only pc I've ever pked. |
