Could it be me as I had gone through there recently with detect magick higher than een, could it have been me or someone else with detect? God knows everyone in luirs is a gick. As far as I know, the code doesn't count yourself as a magick source when calculating the room's level. Otherwise you'd theoretically see that in every room you go into. It had to have been another character, or an item in the room that has a magic flag set on it. The item could even be some invisible marker in the background that staff set to show the room has magickal energy in it for some reason. Could have something to do with the last major event on the history page that happened two and a half RL years ago (lol): 1659 (Year 42 Age 22) As Kurac and assorted allies make a strike on a gith tribe that has been harassing Luir's Outpost and trade for several years, the gith somehow gain access to the Kuraci Fist fort north of Luir's. Through apparent use of magick the fort is reduced to a glassed over wasteland by the gith. I’m fairly sure that is not the case as the trace went away about ten months later. I’m gonna take a guess and say its a shadow or some invisible dude if not burrow.

I assume you mean 10 minutes away. It wasnt burrow. Burrow has a different identifier.
Could've been someone hidden with some effect on maybe.
Probably a band of gith with charmed ankhegs, nothing special.

Shaleah and Whorehouses, what an extremely feminist sense of humor from a staff who would be incapable of doing any of the things it's accused of. How eager to critique. I'll wait for Shaleah to comment first and explain the connection. ShaLeah and Whorehouses isn't quite fitting - should have been Whoring. That analogy completely gave you away though. Transparent.

Through apparent use of magick the fort is reduced to a glassed over wasteland by the gith. I’m fairly sure that is not the case as the trace went away about ten months later. I’m gonna take a guess and say its a shadow or some invisible dude if not burrow. show_magick_level_to_char(CHAR_DATA * ch) { CHAR_DATA *i; OBJ_DATA *j; const char * magick_level[] = { "trace", "weak", "moderate", "strong", "exceptional", "overwhelming" }; int level = 0;
if(!ch || !ch->in_room) return;
for (i = ch->in_room->people; i; i = i->next_in_room) if (ch != i) { }
for (j = ch->in_room->contents; j; j = j->next_content) { }
if (level) { int lev = level % (sizeof(magick_level) / sizeof(magick_level[0])); cprintf(ch, "You detect %s %s amount of magickal energy in the area.", index("aeiouyAEIOUY", *magick_level[lev]) ? "an" : "a", magick_level[lev]); } }
As the code implies, an object (item, player, NPC, room descriptors such as something you may be able to 'l mural' in allanak or luir's rooms) of magickal nature is in that room. You could be being watched. It could be a staff flag set to symbolize something in the room, such as gickery carvings or remnants of sorcery. It could be a burrow, or it could be a whiran being an asshole with putting invisible torches on the ground.

Who will likely be killed by Jeffrey style fale

It wont be a burrow, because burrow gives you a targetable object that you can dispel. Much like rune
