Most of the mages I've seen spam cast thinking its improving them. When if they were aware of the timers they'd know they are just wasting their time. If you knew anything about grinding mages, you'd know that spamcasting is very effective.

Oh crap that's right, something like "a charred humanoid skull" was it? Yeah. In the past, they spawned in the Tuluki jail; dunno if that's the case anymore, but you can 'forage artifact' for them in the Ruined Village in the Grasslands, and prob some other places too. Very hard to find, and very valuable because RANGZ.

Can you hear through the drovians Send Shadow? And are there other ethreal things other then drovians? Yes, you can hear but it's completely foiled if someone is sitting at a table. There are other ethereal things, but I've only seen one. There's a giant ethereal spider in the Vivaduan temple in Allanak that eats the shadows (sends you right back to your body), not sure what would happen if you were actually ethereal and in there. Probably nothing, I tried fighting other shadows when I played a Drovian but you can't hit each other.

Funny that it's the viv temple, and not the krathi temple that did it.

There is a lot of ethereal beings. Many of them are weird and otherwordly. From ghostly tentacles, to ... other stuff, some of them are predators. Some are spirits guarding certain people, or areas. You can interact "and" kill them if you're ethereal yourself. To my knowledge, nobody yet really explored the ethereal side of magick.

Mirage, Pyrotechnics, Shadowplay, Illuminant, Delusion, and Phantasm all seem to be illusionary cantrips, but I don't see one on the Rukkian list. Are they the only magickers that don't get one?

The Rukkian cantrip is making things in the world shake. It's more of a "natural" thing than the other powers. I.e it's via emote for the most part.
If they really wanna go the extra mile, they can cast earthquake.

I can certainly understand it from a flavor perspective. Rukkians are the most "material" of all magickers, after all. I just wondered if it was really true or if there might be a spell missing from the list.

If you cast a spell you need a component for and don't have one, the game tells you that you need an X component to cast it, where X is the mood/sphere in question.
The recipes for the right components are retardedly hard to get though.

Components for a spell are consumed with the cast. The identify spell allows a magicker to determine what is a component, and which sphere it belongs to. Power level is trial and error. Some components are a bitch to get, some aren't. Making/charging upper level components is a bitch - even at master, you'll fail sometimes.

In my experience I only get about a 1/3 success rate charging mon components with master component crafting. Have tried different things like crafting with identify active or crafting in place of high elemental activity, or appropriate tools, etc., but haven't found anything to make a noticeable difference.
Worse was back before skill levels were visible, when I was convinced the constant failure meant I needed to grind component crafting more.
