From what I'm understanding, some temple barriers prevent others, some dont. I do remember drovian temple barriers blocking off the followers. I also remember some Jaxa Pah chick 2-3 years ago or so, bragging how she shadowed some Krathi inside and killed him.
Also a long time ago someone seemed to hint that different places/weather restore magick faster like Elkrosians in a sandstorm, stuff like that? Anyone know if this is true, and the extents of it?
Yeah it's definitely true and can make a huge difference. The highest regen I think is in temples.
Highest regens by class are Whirans - > High winds Rukkians -> Caves/underground Elkrosians -> Sandstorms Drovians -> Darkness Nilazi -> 'Stillness/no winds' Vivaduans -> Krathi -> ?
Actually, afaik, the best place to cast for (most) classes is the Grasslands. This is because it has the highest life value, which is a big determining factor for most of the classes.
It is, however, pretty dangerous and not really recommended.
Krathi = heat, I believe. Salt Flats are the best place for a krathi to roll, insane regen. Bring lots of water. edit: canyons of waste are pretty good too
Nilazi... well, I don't know if it still works BUT: cast portal gate. Go inside. Your mana will regen stupidly quickly. Make sure you get out before the gate closes or you'll suffocate. In the good old days before a certain someone maxed a Nilazi in like 3 days played, you could spamcast in there indefinitely. Alas.
Note that sandstorms fuck regen for basically all classes by Elkrans, Whirans included (high wind and life is good though). And temple regen kind of sucks compared to being in your class' "ideal environment".
I don't know. If I was in a harsh desert world, possessed magick which meant those who didn't want to see me gemmed wanted me dead - and I knew I could unlock more powerful casting words through practice, I'd practice as much as possible. Though yeah. Sleeping to regen faster is petty lame.
mehtastic: Sure, but you don't actually know for sure if it's the player, or someone else inspired by the player's style. Staff know for sure, 100% of the time, who is playing whom. That's the difference.

delerak: the player base for arm has alwayus been small overall. it is almost guarnateed if you sort the memberlist for the gdb by posts the top 10-20 posters have been or currently are on staff with alternate names.

delerak: it's nice to be 'anonymous' in game though. players will absolutely go after you if they know you got them before in years gone byt

qwerty: All in all, in my observation. OOC relativity comes about cliques, then hostility. As in, players might not care if you offed their previous character. But they might like and include another PC whom they talk to more often ooc.

qwerty: But again. You cant control it. Cant prove it. The nagging suspicion will ruin your gameplay. I just try not to worry about it and react to the gameworld events as if there is no ooc influence. Doing anything else makes for a really shitty experience
Sept 5, 2019 13:01:26 GMT -5
qwerty: You cant stop people from talking ooc. And if people talk ooc, it's bound to happen that they cooperate ooc. Or ... or not. But you wont know and therefore, you'll suspect. And this suspicion will kill the game for you.

qwerty: 4/5 times someone rages against staff, staff had nothing to do with it. It's just number one suspicion people go to.

delerak: I recently accused staff of some nonsense. They showed me the log and I felt embarrassed. It's hard to shake the paranoia of days gone by when you were slayed by staff for going afk and using a script to forage wood.
